I'm not sure, but I think it's okay, as long as you don't take it each and every day, long term, as it could cause stomach bleeding.  Have you looked into evening primrose oil capsules?  It supposedly reduces pain and inflammation, just as good as an asprin or OTC NSAID. 

Aspirin thins the blood and could cause bleeding, which could be a cause for iron loss.  Idk though if one aspirin would make a difference because everyone is different.  Your DR might have a better answer for you.
