About Barney, I think it's peer pressure already at work. They love it when they're 2,3,4 yrs old, at home by themselves, then when they hit kindergarten or 1st or 2nd grade, once someone says, "That's stupid" or "Barney is for babies" or "Ha ha, you're a baby, you still like Barney!" that's it, they start to hate Barney. I don't have kids, but I've worked with little ones in the past and that seems to be my experience!
If they hate Barney when they're still at home alone, maybe they've just become annoyed with him like the rest of us!

i was wondering, why do kids love Barney the dinosaur, then hate it after a yr ot 2??
I can't stand Barney! Idk what it is about him that kids love, but whatever it is has made a lot of kids really happy.

i suppose that can be the case. i dont like that show either and i never knew why kids did !
