It was one thing that The Doctors has tried to force Jillian on the audience, but the show on a so-called "pregnant man" was a new low. I had already stopped watching the show regularly but with the way they promoted this show, I lost a lot of respect for the doctors on the show!
As medical doctors, they know full well that this person was and is NOT a man in reality, regardless of legal identification. From a medical perspective, they KNOW she is still a WOMAN! Yet they promoted this show referring to her as the pregnant man. So if a man had dog ears, fur, and a tail surgically appended along with a legal recognition of him as a dog, does that make him a dog? Obviously NOT! Neither does one's personal desire coupled with medical intervention reassign one's true gender!
If political correctness dictates medical research, opinion, and scientific fact, it certainly cannot be trusted! It would be one thing if we were talking about hermaphrodites or some other medical or physiological anomaly to raise a gender question, but we're talking about a surgically and hormonally altered woman. Shame on any doctor that is sucked into political correctness over medical truth! You've lost my respect for you as physicians! This show is obviously more about producing "sensational" and "titillating" television rather than substantiating medical facts! That's sad!

Unfortunately the majority of this season has been a new low for the show.
Cornel- I agree with your Blog, and I also question WHY the producers seem so desperate for ratings this season? The show had been doing very well (Melissa has even mentioned in previous comments that they have won awards), so I don't understand why they seem to have "hit the panic button" (or maybe they have been overcome with greed?) and diminished their standards; the quality of the show has definitely been compromised, in my opinion. And really, do they have a lot of competition? No other show that I can think of is even similar in format or content!
It just seems that they have jumped on the "reality" bandwagon, and want to vie for the audience numbers that those types of mindless shows seem to procure. Such a shame, really. I guess that the doctors are fortunate that they are all still involved in their private practices, because the show seems doomed to failure if this garbage continues!

I agree with all the comments that are questioning what is going on with this show. It makes no sense at all, and I no longer watch. But, I do read the blogs when someone comments on something I am watching. I have not watched since it appeared that Jillian was here to stay. There is no way I can continue to watch if she is on the show. I was not thrilled about the other newest Dr as she is more an entertainment type of person rather than trying to be a real Dr. All fluff types of things when she was on. I give up on the show.
