Yesterday you spoke of people sitting at their computers for 10 hours a day. The spokesperson, like so many others, does not seem to realize that many workers today are in a call center. If we were to get up 5 minutes from our computers every hour or take a walk periodically through the day, we would not have jobs. Our time on the phone with customers is constantly montitored. Our adherence to how many customers served, how much time to go to the bathroom, etc. is recorded. The medical information needs to reach the CEO's and upper management and applied to the frontlines of your call center. Next time you call a call center and that person wants you to hang on while they type a letter, be aware that it is because it goes against their performance appraisal if they do their job without you on the phone.
