I started the 17 Day Diet August 1st 2011. My weight when I started was 227 lbs. Today I am 179.6. I weigh in every Monday morning. I love this new eating program called "The 17 Day Diet". I have lost an average of 2lbs a week until this past week. I even lost thur Thanksgiving and Christmas week. This is the first time I have gained a significant amount. I gained 2lbs last week. I think it is because I started taking brown seaweed capsules and Licorice drops. Within 2 days of taking them I was craving sweets. Sooo now I am no longer taking these supplements. They were supposed to help lose belly fate. It didn't work out for me. Maybe when I reach my goal weight and maintain for a few months I will try again. Today I have started Cycle 2 for the third time. I have 20 lbs left to get to goal weight. I have changed the way I think about food. I no longer enjoy breads, pastas, or rice. My taste buds have most certainly changed in the past 5 months. I work out in the gym 3 times a week basically weight training to tone my muscles, nothing to heavy. I am trying to build up my cardio (I hate cardio) to 3 time a week. The trainer helping me says the only way to lose belly fat is cardio. Stink, Did I mention I hate cardio. Boring Boring Boring.

I hate the gym... I don't know how to get myself motivated...I just cured my sweet tooth craving a few months ago. I stopped buying all my faves, candy bars (Snickers), cookies, and ice cream bars...and I replaced kitchen with fruit and Larabars (fruit and nut bars...natural fruit sugars only, and fiber). It was hard at first, I kept opening my cabinets looking for sweets, but of course none were there!...but I lost my cravings in less than a month.
