I tell them that not only is it usually safe, but it’s also healthy! Sex during pregnancy promotes a feeling of well-being, a positive self-body image and it strengthens the relationship bond with your mate. You need to continue to be a couple, as well as grow into a family.
Always consult your doctor, as there are conditions in certain pregnancies where sex is contraindicated, or not advised. For example: pre-term labor, bleeding, placenta previa, etc.

DR lisa, pls i have a serious problem, am 30yrs old and all of a sudden my period stopped due to hormonal imbalance and anovulation. Is it true that sex close to your due date can help induce labor? If so, are there any precautions when doing so?
My sister is 38.5 weeks pregnant and wants to try and induce labor so she can hopefully go into labor ASAP, does sex help? And what else helps?

I don't really have a comment, but I am 18 years old and I haven't had sex or a boyfriend my whole high school career. It seems like the guys only date the girls who have had sex. Hi dr. lisa,im 19 and i have a really serious question...this is kind of embarising but here it goes, i constantly am having discharge comming out and it has an odor and this happens with and with out sex. and i dont have any rashesh or burning down there it just comes out. what does this mean or what can i do to fix it? thank you for your time
