About Me
My name is Elizabeth I was born in the Uk and I have been living here in the USA for the 10 years. 5 of them in CA in Simi Valley. I have a husband called David and a daughter called Sarah who is soon to be a senior. I am a Certified Medical Assistant and my hobies are jewelry making, and card making. I love to cook and share what I have made with my friends.
I have had medical problems since I was 30 years old, that was the year my life turned around for the better and worst. The better was that my daughter was born, the worst I got diagnosed with MS at C3 level. I suffer from Chronic Pain, and Fibromyalgia. I try to live life a day at a time, and I am happy for every day I am on my feet. Three years ago since my diagnosis of my MS I lost my ability to walk for one whole year, and found myself life in a wheelchair for the very first time. One year later almost to the date the feelings returned to my legs, over the next few weeks and a lot of physical therapy, although I was having physical therapy all through the year I was in the wheelchair as well. I managed to walk again and I'm so happy to everyone who made it their mission to get me back on my feet again.
One thing I didn't mention is when I was having intense physical therapy 5 days a week, I was put in a machine called the Locomat, it is a device that mimics your walking to keep your leg muscles from turning into a floppy mess. You get strapped into this intimidating machine which locks around your legs and your suspended over a tread machine, then it is turned on and your lowered down onto the treadmill and away you go your legs are doing the walking again. I am going to post some pictures of me on the Locomat machine, So people who haven't heard of this machine can see what it looks like, I was one of the first patients on this machine I guess I was in the right place at the right time. But I am sure without something like this machine the muscles in my legs would not of stayed strong enough to walk on my own again.
Thanks, Liz (:

Hi Liz,
the good news is i got to see the dentist today in other location. i was so happy. i'm scared of going to the dentist too. the bad news is the wisdom teeth is about to grow that's why i was having so much pain so the specialist is going to take it out which is next monday. i have 2 widwom teeth. it needs to taken out. I'm so glad that i went in today. also i need to have a deep cleaning done but i need to wait for three to six weeks to get approval. in the meantime, i need to get the wisdom teeth out.

Hi liz,
I fall my head in my apartment carpet. my back of my head is bruise i think. i'm putting ice pack. yes, i did make an appointment with the cornea specialist finally. i will be see this doctor in 2 weeks. I have a terrible toothache and i page my primary doctor and he called right back and told me he would ask the staff and in the meantime my doctor told me to take advil and put a warm cloth. i did found a dentist that will help me near where i live. it's through the regional center which you never heard of. it for people with special needs. i don't really like talking about it but i do have some little of disability. unfornately the earliest appointment is next tuesday and it's my birthday on that day. what a way to celebrate my birthday going to the dentist.

Hey Liz,
My leg is still not working completely right. It is really weak and I am working with a physical therapist to get back strength in that leg. As far as the breaks go they have healed. Though I am at risk for more. I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta. A rare genetic disorder that causes easily broken bones among other things. I still do have some pain in my leg especially when I am working with my PT and have really pushed it. That's good pain almost though. I have this infection in several places through out my body and they are looking at putting in a central line or permanent PICC so that I can be easily treated when it pops up.

Wow that sounded so painful, is your leg mended now or do you still have pain in that leg?
Stay well, Liz :)
