TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH...no one else is going to! This is a topic that I am passionate about because it has worked for me! I was living with pain, muscle spasms, adult acne my whole life (I always had at least one or two zits on my face, if not more, all the time...and I'm mid-to-late 30s!), poor immunity...so...I was my own experiment. I cut out sugar (was tough to do, being a--now former--sugar addict!), junk food, and then increased my veggie intake...and I was pleased with the results: less pain, no acute muscle spasms anymore, clear skin, stopped getting colds and flus, and tons of energy! Seriously. Consult your doctor before changing anything in your diet, and make sure he/she knows everything you are taking...then give it a shot. It just may change your life! I know it did for me.
If you have pain, want to be more healthy, have more energy, be free of disease, click on the website and read...it will take you less than a minute to read that page, and more time if you click on other articles. I found that this website is very helpful (he's from the U.K., which explains the "s" in energise!):

More in-depth, very concise, easy to understand explanation (takes about 5 minutes to read):

There's tons of information online, do some research yourself, just search things like proper pH balance, alkaline foods, etc. Good luck! Read more in comments below.

P.S: I haven't gotten the pH drops you can put in water yet, but I'm looking into it more. Also, not sure if I am even eating 80% alkaline like he suggests, maybe I'm eating around 60% to 80% depending on the day, but if you do 60% alkaline, you should be fine and feel results. Most experts say 60% alkaline and 40% acidic foods.
AND, you still need to eat acidic foods, it's all about balance...don't go crazy!
SOME QUICK TIPS TO EATING MORE ALKALINE:
-Squeeze in some fresh lemon or lime juice to your hot or cold water.
-Eat a big, colorful, salad for lunch, drizzle with olive oil, and add a few squeezes of fresh lemon or lime juice.
-For dinner, make a big bowl of soup and throw in tons of veggies. Experiment. Use low-sodium tomato soup as a base, or low calorie veggie broth. Chop up and throw in some celery, carrots, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, fresh herbs--BE CREATIVE!
-Have a few slices of avocado and some cherry tomatoes or sliced tomatoes as a mid afternoon snack.
-Grab a handful of almonds or seeds to snack on.
-Treat yourself to a glass of ice cold coconut water!
-Take time out of your day to do deep belly breathing that they teach you in yoga classes.
-Find ways to detoxify: visit a sauna, get a massage, try dry brushing your body before taking a shower, do moderate aerobics and sweat out those toxins!
ALL OF THE ABOVE are easy ways to achieve a proper pH balance...Oh yeah, and cut back on processed foods, sugary foods, and junk foods...choose your acidic foods wisely and eat: brown rice, beans, lean meat protein, eggs, fruit and nuts--all of them are acidic, BUT they are healthy for you in moderation.
