Loved yesterday's show, Shocking Germ Traps in Your Home & on Your Body!
IMO, the doctors were at their best, giving advice and information in their particular field of expertise...they shined! I learned a lot during yesterday's show, about where germs are hiding and what I should use to wash my face (I'm gonna get a baby washcloth and try it out). I like learning of new procedures, like the non-invasive sinusitis procedure. I liked the humorous banter between them when discussing things like germs on DVDs. This is what The Doctor's show is all about...not having on some vapid "celebrity" like Kris Jenner. I'm sorry, but I loathed that show last week!
The Doctor's are here to teach us things and give us day-to-day health advice. Bring in more medical specialists, keep out the stupid celebs.

Greenfish, I agree with you 100%! This show does NOT need to showcase "celebrity" guests (or lousy "co-hosts"!), especially when they do not have any type of medical degrees or licenses, since they cannot speak with authority on medical and mental health topics.
The show that featured Lisa Rinna (not certain that I spelled her last name correctly?) seemed like an infomercial hawking her latest book! I'm sorry, but a book about sex, written by a soap actress, cannot be based on anything but opinion- Lisa's opinion apparently- and that was her only contribution (and I use that word loosely!) to the show that day: her opinion as an actress, and nothing more!
We ALL have opinions on everything, but I am not looking for the opinions of "celebrities" when I watch The Doctors! There are other talk shows to watch if people just want to listen to the "fluff" that typically spills out of the mouths of self-absorbed, arrogant celebrities! And, that's why the loud-mouthed "co-host" was so irritating; all she did was SCREAM her opinions- she was not a medical professional- and I wasn't the least bit interested in hearing anything that she had to say!
I completely agree, I had put that Lisa Rinna episode out of my mind, but that was another useless show...not sure either how to spell, maybe there's an h in there somewhere. For some reason I didn't mind Dick Van Dyke, maybe because he wasn't selling anything, he said "i'm not an expert, but this is what I've been doing" and he looked and felt great for his age...a good example of living a healthy, happy life.
Fortunately I wasn't watching during the time of the loud-mouthed co-host. I missed all of that because there was a time when I wasn't watching The Doctor's last year. I was obsessed with the Casey Anthony trial and was watching HLN news/courtroom coverage 24/7! But I did see a couple episodes when she was a guest before they hired her full-time...and yes, she rubs the wrong way, big time.
I don't mind "celebrity stylist" secrets, like on today's show, because they show some interesting tips and tricks, but the majority of guests should be medical experts.
