Was this a new episode? Does this mean that Jillian is back? I've watched The Doctors since the beginning, but didn't watch The Doctors last year when she was on because I happened to become obsessed with the Casey Anthony trial on HLN, then after the trial, I was in the habit of watching HLN all the time. I only got back into watching The Doctors again this year.
Well, here's my critique. She is stiff. She is not a natural like the 4 doctors. When The Doctors first started a few years ago, they were totally at ease, they were natural, impeccably personable--and still are. If she's been on the show many times last year, it doesn't show. She sounds fake. Hearing her voice after awhile just irritated me to no end! I'm sorry to be so harsh. I found the whole vibe of the show to be strange...I felt uneasy...I didn't laugh like I usually do when The Doctors made a joke...I wasn't feeling it with her there, as well as Dr. Wendy Walsh. Very weird vibe.
She just doesn't fit in!!! For one thing, she's not a doctor! Why is she doing the segment on diet soda? I couldn't even watch it, I fast-forwarded most of the segment until Dr. Travis came out on the set. The doctors could easily have done the diet soda segment, and do it better and sound more sincere! What is the point of having her on the show???

I am in total agreement with you. When the show came on I turned the TV off until 3 PM, so I can't say I watched it, except for the first 5 minutes. That was enough though. I truly hope she is NOT back more often, or at all, because to be honest the show just isn't the same with her on it. WW isn't bad, but IMO fits better when she is a guest on the show showing her knowledge about psychology. JM fits nowhere in the show, even as a guest. She isn't a DR like you said, and being a "health and wellness expert" really doesn't provide any qualifications when on the show.
Melissa.
Greenfish- You should have seen this board last year, when those two HORRENDOUS "co-hosts" (and I use that term loosely!) were on the show! The largest majority of the posts were COMPLAINTS, because those two absolutely did NOT fit on this show whatsoever! They were both shrill, argumentative, distracting, and did not add anything positive to the content of the show; in fact, they detracted from it, and stole the focus from the original 4 doctors! It was an AWFUL experience, to say the least, and the producers were wise to get both of them OFF the show!
And, based on all of the outcry and negative feedback from the viewers about those two, I am surprised that they even have them back on the show as guests from time to time. Certainly there are MANY OTHER psychologists and physical trainers in this world- with much better screen presence than either of those two possess- to call upon for advice! Perhaps it was part of the "termination agreement" that they would have them appear occasionally, in order to live out their original contracts? IDK, but it sure would be refreshing to see NEW faces on the show, especially since there was so much dislike for those two!
I'm in total agreement of your total agreement!!! :)
You are right, Melissa, it isn't the same with her on it. Her voice started to annoy me almost instantly! Then I couldn't believe how stiff and insincere she sounds. Didn't the producers "test" her out before signing her on? They would have seen how terrible she is! She's not a natural, likeable person! In comparison, Chris Powell or Jorge Cruz would be natural and likeable fitness trainers. But that's my point. JM is a fitness trainer...PERIOD. Also, there were a few times during the show where they were all talking over each other. TOO MANY PEOPLE ON THE SET! I blame the producers for that...4 docs, 1 psychologist, and 1 fitness trainer...who's idea was that to have them all trying to put their 2 cents in???
Yeah, lucylamb, on this episode they were holding back and being overly nice because I'm sure they were told that people weren't liking the arguments. Also, when WW was saying how sorry she was to a woman who had lost her child to a car backing up on her child, it sounded a bit weird, not that she wasn't sincere, but just...weird. I can't put my finger on it. I just know that when the Doctors say they are sorry for someone's plight, they sound more natural. I think you may be right about the contracts, maybe they (or just JM) have to put in a few more shows till the end of the year...let's HOPE that's it.
