I am a L & D and Post partum nurse in VT. I had the birth I wanted with my first too but only the waterbirth part everything else was drawn out and painful. Quite a difference. I too LOVE my work. It is great being a part that aspect of people's lives
Veronica,
I must be suffering from 'mental-pause' brain fog! I can't recall how I know you? Please remind me...
Hi,
Momongeon,
Nice to hear you had the birth you desired with your second baby! I see that you reference your "patients", and that you "will help them get there"...meaning a natural birth. Are you a doula? A nurse? OB? I am delighted to share about Hypnobabies eyes-open childbirth hypnosis...ANYtime, ANYwhere, to EVERYone! Just let me know what you'd like to know! I do love my 'work'. : )
Carole, I am a hypno mama. I loved this experience. I was very comfortable until I was 7 cm. It took me 24 hrs (second baby mind you) to get there. Then I had my midwife break my water (I really didn't want to but I knew it would be over sooner) After that it was intense for 25 min. She checked me and I was 9cm. 2 ctx later I was involuntarily pushing I got into the tub and involuntarily delivered my second baby in three ctx. It was amazing. you are lucky to be able to do mostly hypnobabies clients. My patients mostly end up with an epidural...but I do get some pt that don't want drugs and I tell them I will get them there. I usually do get them there even if they initially lack confidence in themselves. Would love to chat more.
Just wanted to drop you a line to say hi and I hope all is well Veronica
Hello friend I have not talked to you in a while and just wanted to say hi and I hope all is well with you. Veronica

In the past, I taught several different methods of preparation for childbirth classes to many hundreds of couples, and assisted a homebirth MD, at hundreds of homebirths and birth center births, helping them to realize their goal of natural childbirth.
Then...after I assisted my first Hypnobabies couple as their doula, I discovered that a woman could not only have a peaceful, unmedicated natural birthing, but that mom could also be completely comfortable...many of them even painfree! I became a certified hypnotherapist, a Hypnobabies childbirth hypnosis instructor, and "hypno-doula". I am also a lactation educator and counselor, a homeopathy consultant and a Reiki practitioner, and I love my "work"! I am in awe each and every time I am privileged to witness the power of a woman's mind to create such peaceful, comfortable birthings. I am happy to say that, the last nearly 200 births that I have assisted with, have all been Hypnobabies couples.
