Please pray...

Good afternoon friends,  Can you all please pray for our dear friend Amber.  She was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer last week.  Today she had surgery to have it removed and have a full hysterectomy,  she is only 28 yrs old.  She is a mother of a 6yr old girl and a 3 yr old boy.  My wife and her were pregnant at the same time...so her little girl means a lot to us.  If anything would happen to her it would be devistating to us. We concider her family,  she's like the little sisiter I never had. for more bad news, not only is she battling cancer but,  her medical insurance has ended.  Her husband lost his job in December due to the economy.  So she is going into this with no coverage. We are all trying to help and support her with the medical bills...but you know how extreme they will be.  So,  please take a moment and pray for her...thank you and God Bless our friend Amber.

Take care,  Jeff

Jeff, A message to your friend Amber: I'm so sorry to hear that you are facing this terrible disease.   Right now you are facing a most challenging time in your life, none more challenging then your belief in God. He will take care of you.  The answers won't be clear for some time.  I've been living with cancer for eight years (ovarian cancer twice).  I recently finished treatments Jan 2,09.  I'm confident now and have turned my negative attitude into positive thinking.  Eight years ago I was lost, confused, frightened and angry. I was also determined to beat it. I looked up into the pitiful faces of my children and told  myself (and them) that I was going to live to see them graduate, get married and have children.  I have four kids and now five beautiful grandchildren.  You can do this, Amber, you are strong. My prayers and thoughts to you.  Stay Strong, sister!!!  We are here for you.  Jeff and family: continue giving support as I know you will. God Bless. Diana

Tell Amber that people she doesn't even know are praying for her renewed good health.  That and faith in God worked for me.  I am a 2 year survivor (Stage IV)!!!

She will be in my prayers and thoughts, I know things are really tough for her and her entire family but I know that with you and the rest of her family and friends things will turn out for the better, because with family, friends and God all things are possible.

Good morning,  First of all,  Thank You so much for your heart warming comments.  I printed off the comments and gave them to her mother to read.  She was so amazed and touched by the comments.  We are waiting for Amber to get more alert before we give them to her to read.  I am so impressed by the amount of support we are receiving here,  it's so touching that people we don't even really know except through blog posts and comments are so supportive.  So again,  thank you very much!

As for Amber,  during the surgery the docotrs are boggled fromthe looks of the cancerous tumor.  They are not certain that it is Ovarian Cancer.  They think it looks more like a different type of cancer that can attach itself to other organs.  so we are now praying that it was Ovarian Cancer and not the other type.  We never thought we'd be praying it's Ovarian Cancer.  They also removed her lymphnoids,  hoping if it had attached to any of them,  they got them out before they grew.  So I will keep you all posted on the outcome of the tests.  I again want to thank you for your comments...

Take care & God Bless,  Jeff & Family

Jeff,

I will keep her in my prayers.  Ovarian cancer is a terrible thing to suffer.  I know it is a comfort to her to have such great support from you and your family, and all of her friends.  I'm not sure how much it would help, or if it's even allowed on the site, but perhaps you could post an address or a bank where some of us could manage to send a couple of dollars to help her a little.  Just a thought.

Sunnie
