My likes and Dislikes pt 1

Heres a list of my favorite and least favorite things. Lets start with my entertaining list of Least Favorite Things.

1. Saranwrap

Yeah I said it, saranwrap I hate the stuff. It always gets the best of me.  No matter how careful I am with it I always manage to cut myself on the cutting device. And when I try and tear the plastic wrap off all of it gets smushed together. I'm sad and pathetic because I have three college degrees and saranwrap wins every battle.

2. Birds

Birds completely freak me o ut. I think they are dirty and nasty. And they annoy me in general. I can't handle it when they fly at my windshield. It scares me to death. Or when you are dining outside and they are pecking at the tables around you. And to make matters worse, my dad is all into bird watching. He puts oranges out for the finches, jelly for the bunttings and sugar water for hummingbirds. Its almost an aviary at my parents house.

3.Parking downtown (Austin Texas)

Finding a parking spot in downtown Austin is like trying to find a needle in a haystack (sorry I'm farm kid and its the best analogy I could come up with ). And if you are luckly enough to find one its usually because a homeless person pointed it out because they expect to be tipped. And if you dont tip them they have been known to vandalize cars. Thank goodness for Valet!

4. Handsfree head sets and Cell phones

I hate it when i'm in the grocery store and someone is talking with their handsfree cell phone thing. because i'm the girl who doesnt notice it sticking out of their ear but they appear to be looking at me and talking so I say excuse me and then I always get the dirty look and they point to the phone. I'm all for mutlitasking but talking on your phone in public is rude. Sometimes i understand that it cant be helped but its still annoying!

Next is my list of likes and there are more likes than dislikes this week!

I totally get the ear-set cell phone pet peeve. I'm also guilty of answering people's questions to only discover the question was being directed to the person they were talking to on the cell phone. One time, I was sitting in a restaurant a few years back when the ear-set wasn't soo mainstream yet. I saw this guy sitting by himself and he was talking to himself with an angry voice and having a lenghty conversation..he was throwing his napkin and slamming his silverware on his plate. I thought the guy was "wigging" out. This guy was displaying some serious mental issues. I grabbed my children and fled to the exit door out of fear. Once I got to the other side of him, I noticed the stupid cell phone ear-piece.

I have to agree with you on that saran wrap thing it gets me too  all tangled up !!!!LOL oh and the hands free people that talk you look at them thinking they are talking to you only to realize they have that thing in there ear. What did we all do when we didnt have cell phones ????

Looking forward to your next post lol

girl im with you on the birds the only birds i like are the eagles philadelphia eagles..parking downtown im right with you on that ..homeless people here hardley see them and if you do the're all wrapped up in newspaper sleeping..and cell phones right on girl i hate them also, especially driving the one thing i can't stand is someone not doing the speed limit or speeding up slowing down and your behind one trying to get home after work and they just go on with their conversation..then they cross the lane not realizing your next to them and them bam an accident...i know what your talking about in the store also shopping talking looking at you and talking thinking is he or she talking to me...well that happened i went up to the guy and i pulled a robert de niro ...you talking to me,you talking me,...anyway cell phones are dangerous when driving and a pain in the A.when your in a store or out to dinner....sometimes i like to cut it right off their ear and the ear with it like vincent william van gogh did to his ear....ok enough ...saranwrap yea i hear you on that but try the cling free one...it works i was like you with this but it works ....ok girl you just keep letting it out all your dislikes believe there's a lot more of that then the likes......hope to talk with you later young lady and you still haven't told me where in that picture is you..........

Saran wrap - I used to hate saran wrap also... lol  I'm the type of person who doesn't get mad, I get even!! hehehe (just kidding)  Well the trick to saran wrap is this.. look at the box the next time you have to wrap something, there is a little piece of tape on the side, whatever you are wrapping up, take the end piece of saran wrap and stick it to one side of your bowl, plate.. whatever... then wrap it straight from the box.. pull the saran wrap from the box over whatever you are wrapping. then stick the piece to the tape and then rip it off with the razor edge.  If you try to pull a piece off the size of what you are wrapping, and then try to hold on to it... you will just end up frustrated every time.  lol

Birds- Remember, this is their world too.. We have taken over their habitats and built 'our' homes on 'their' land.  So if someone came in and cut down the trees I lived in, I'd probably fly at and poop on their cars for revenge too.  I love all animals.... and I love to listen to birds sing, it's very peaceful.  I think they are beautiful and very helpful!  They eat insects!  I'm one of those people you hate, I feed the birds if they come near me and I have food.. lol  I used to live in Colorado and there were Canadian Geese that lived around this lake.. I went everyday and hand fed them... they would all start honking and coming run up to me when they saw me coming!  It was a really good feeling to be among such creatures.
Parking - If someone showed me a parking spot in a crowed area, I'd be happy enough to give them a few dollars for their kindness.. especially if they were "homeless".  Be thankful you have a job that affords you the luxury of having a car to be able to park somewhere, and the gas to get there.  Why would you feel better about tipping a "Valet" and not the homeless person?  If you are a farm girl, by what you have written, it sounds like the big city has taken it out of you.  Never knock someone for their luck in life.  Feel the fortune that was bestowed upon you and share it with everyone around you.

Phones-  I pay no attention to people who chat on their phones, if they want to get my attention, they will have to jump up and down, waving their arms in a frantic matter.. lol  maybe then I'll stand up and take notice.
