Loved todays show

I had to admit that i actually shed tears when they had the two teams on...when they announced that Bekki was overall winner, i shed more and when she did the walk...that is what i want to do...

i want that for every one of us...we need to do that walk, even if it is in our heads...i can see me doing that walk, in a pair of heels, sexy red dress looking very fine with a new short spiky hair do and make up with my bling jewellry...

who is with me!!! ???  who wants to do that walk when they reach their goals???  i think we all do..

for those who are struggling, and we all do struggle from time to time, after all we are human people...start to think of how you are going to look at the end....picture the new clothes, new shoes, new you...

feel your body shrinking and see yourself being physcially active, playing tennis in those little short skirts...i know i want to wear one...

post inspiration notes, that poem that someone mentioned...remember you are doing this to be a healthier you...don't fall back into old habits...it isn't worth it...

I am here to support each and everyone of you if necessary....i really truly believe in this diet and it has changed my life...i am more assertive, more confident and more agile seeing as i slipped on ice and didn't go down...

Every person on this board inspires me to no end and i value the friendships i have here....i think we all need a group hug tonight....

Wasn't that cool the way they showed that walk???!!! I really needed to see that today.

Hey girlfriend, wow, you are the 2nd person that told me about today's show. I missed it. I gotta see if I can see a repeat of it somewhere. I am with you to do the walk. When I get to goal, oh yes We can do it together. :0  I may not have the spiky hair and the bling. I will be wearing a nice dress. LOL...I can relate to the self visualization. I do that some now. I have a photo I look upon when I was a fox. smiling. I close my eyes and see me now looking good.

I so much agree with you that for me this is not a New Year's Resolution. It is a lifestyle change for me. I have so much medication I take that I want to elimanate most of it. I too, want to feel better and live healthier.

I am down with the group hug. Here's mine to you. I will keep posting like you suggested and will write you often. I left a message on the board today and here it is so you can check it out. I hope these suggestions are helpful to you. They have helped me out alot. Hope to talk to you soon and thank you for all your encouragement. You are wonderful and a friend of mine. I have to send you the message in another note. This is too long ok. :0

GET MOVING !!! Physical activity.. Most of us fail to make use of it. Sure, we can lose weight without exercising. But if we want to keep it off, we've got to get moving. Here are some ideas to try: 1. Think of your exercise or workout time as if it were a regularly scheduled meeting, & pencil it in on your calendar or daily planner. 2. Download books online to your MP3 player. Listen only while exercising so that you'll be motivated to get moving in order to hear what happens next! 3. Fit in small exercises, such as pulling in your stomach and keeping it tight until the traffic light changes (I do this all the time LOL) 4. Plan your workouts around a favorite TV show. Watch the show while you're doing some physical activity. 5. Join a gym that's comfortable for you & where you feel welcome, not one where you feel pressured to overstep your limits. 6. If you find that you're becoming bored with exercise because you tend to do the same activity day after day, then vary your routine-jump rope, swim (I'm looking into taking classes) or just take a walk. 7. When your kids invite you to play with them, don't make excuses. Whether it's hide and go seek or a game of catch, you'll have to move to keep up with the competetion.  :0   Let's all have an awesome day ♥ ♥ ♥

sherrysusan...i am 52 and thought i wouldn't be able to...i am losing on this lifestyle change, i now refuse to call it a diet...

you can do it...we are here for you...each bit helps...i was wearing a size 32...down to a 26 since january this year...so if i can do it ...you can...and there is no word can't...

you have to be positive that this is going to work, there are women and men on here who are over 60 and they are dropping...so i want to hear you say, i know i will drop 10 lbs...

just do a small number...can't is not an option and neither is sitting back and saying it won't work...i am here for you every step of the way...do i have your promise you will help yourself...

 

ishabazz...i want to get off my high blood pressure pills...that walk will be fabulous...i can see us all now...i get goosebumps thinking about it...

we need to help out sherrysusan....she says she can't lose weight...are you with me girlfriend??  we will get her to lose just 10 lbs...

Lorie I missed the show. I had to go pick up my husband & then he wanted to run to Walmart when I got there. Long story short..He called 10 minutes before the show came on & we never got home until much later. I hope to find a rebroadcast here on the site or maybe on HULU.

Thanks everyone! As they say 'there's power in numbers' . . . here's my long story short: I do eat right, I do exercise, I am a horse rider, have several acres of land to care for, put up hay for my horses every summer, work full time--3 hrs commuting every day . . . there's not many dull moments . . . feels like a losing battle . . . don't need to be a Size 2 again (looking back at pics - was bone-rail thin) - but a 6 would be WONDERFUL!  Alas! A week ago Monday, I fell just walking at the mall outside on the blacktop and seriously injurred the right side of my face - have been off work since - getting scans next week (ah ha - life isn't fair) so I have to eat healthy to heal - but cannot do any type of aerobic right now b/c it sets off pain (am on pain killers - only take if absolutely necessary), but cherish the idea of a group of us 'all in this together' and as soon as I'm able - will be bouncing to my Wii, riding my Beautiful horse, mowing lawn, got a 14-foot trampoline out front, and all things summer related. Cheers to my new-found support group - Let's Rock~

@ sherrysusan. Yes you can lose weight after 50. I am losing and I am past 50 LOL. Let's go back to cycle 1 and follow it exactly and you will see that it does work and the weight melts away. Add a walk to the plan. It is good to get our blood flowing. Nothing high gear just a moderate walk around the neighborhood at first. I bet you will see a change and soon. Let me know. @ sherrysusan. I did not go further done the page. I am sorry to hear about your accident. God willing you will be ok. If you send me an email address I have some exercises you can do at home or in a chair that you can do while healing. No need to worry. Like everyone has mentioned we are here for you. Thank God for internet these days & unlimited phone service. Or I would be in big trouble. LOL. Keep the faith and in time it will come, Right Ladies!!!  we will bang the drum for you and you can dance to the sound of it. LOL I will keep you in my prayers take care ♥ ♥ ♥

You are such a sweetheart Lori, my fellow Ontarian. I love how you are always upbeat and keep cheering on your fellow losers, cuz that's what we are eh? Seriously, keep up the good work and do what you do as you are good at it. By the way what was the name of that book that you were reading recently? Sounds like something I'd like to pick up.
