I am passionate and intelligent. I am somewhat of an old soul, which has nothing to do with my turning 50 in two weeks. I am a single mother of three beautiful girls and two very handsome men. We have overcome a great many demons in our lives and we are all in a prison of one form or another.

I dream of a day when my youngest daughters and I will run through a grass field and do cartwheels, or chase each other through a forest, dancing off the trees. I long for the future and the happiness that comes with being whole and healthy.

I have stepped out in faith and away from the things that have trapped me in my prison. I searched for the defining moments where my spirit shifted and I have done what I can to let go of the pain and the heartache, the guilt and the sorry, and have been working on accepting forgiveness from myself. My next step is to be the pillar of strength and model, for my broken children, what fighting for freedom really looks like, how it feels.
