Post Comments - losing weight motivates me

I feel your frustration.  There are so many things that go into this process - food and/or water retention, metabolism, maximum heart rate needed that YOU need to achieve and maintain while working out to burn off that @#*&$$^# icky fat.  All of these are different for everyone and every body.  It's hard to stay motivated when you compare yourself to others in terms of pounds.  Have you and your husband looked your weight loss as a % of your starting weight?  Heavier people tend to lose more weight in numbers, but as a %, you guys might be closer than you realize.  I know one of the things that got me motivated this week and gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to ramp up my exercise is Writerchick1 (aka Lisa) and her remarkable 30 pound loss so far.  We are about in the same spot in the Cycles and I've only lost 21 pounds so far.  I am still totally committed and hitting the gym hard this week and started back on Cycle 1 on Monday (a couple of days early).  Oh wait....she's lost 12.8% and I have lost 9.6%.  Dang - I'm still behind.   LOL  Oh well, I'm very happy for her success and it's more motivation for me.

Your body will too kick back into gear.  Stay focused and know we are all here together in the same blog.

I wasn't losing weight for a long time so I have started drinking an extra cup of green tea right after I workout and it seems to be helping or at least I think that's what's helping.  I have finally started losing weight since I started it.  Good luck my thoughts are with you.

Men always lose faster, not fair but that's how it goes.  Have you had your hormones checked yet?  Menopause can play hell on the metabolism.  I'd get that thyroid double checked too while they are at it.  Talk to your doctor, even if it's not one of those things, maybe it's something else and he or she may be able to help.

The rollercoaster goes up and down....you're just on the down side, the good news is it's about to go up again!  Hang in there....don't you hate it when men loose faster?

Hi cruiselover, I'm so glad I'm not alone. I try to shy away from the negativity however facts are facts. I follow everything to the T and it doesn't seem to breakthrough for me. Really was hoping for so much more.

Good Luck !!!

I'm doing the same. Hubby has lost 17 lbs me 10. We have been on the diet since Jan 31. Not so great. I do pilates and treadmill 6 days a week. Don't get it. I feel good. Lots of energy but that is just not enough for me to stay positive. I'm going to stay on it until the 18th ( we go on a cruise) was really hoping to take off more before then. If one more person tells me "muscle weights more than fat" I'm gonna scream!! Good Luck to us.
