About Me
First and foremost, I am a Christian but not religious. I am not a Bible Thumper. I love being a Christian because it is my faith in God that keeps me going through the tough times. I'm a survivor of more than 20 assaults and having survived them and overcome them, I now pass on the fact that the light at the end of the tunnel is there and I voluntarily write self-help articles for Christians who are recovering from whatever issue they have to deal with. Despite 35 medical conditions, I tend to be an optimist. My glass is 'half-full' 90% of the time. I do have my bad days, but by the grace of God and my support system, I continue on and these all eventually pass.
I love Spring and Summer, but Winter is my downfall. Walking with a walker through sidewalks that are not shovelled hinders getting out and about and my lungs get cold causing bronchitis about 7 times/winter. However, by being inside, I can enjoy my many crafts: crocheting, scrap-booking, beading, drawing, painting, and many, many more. I love to help people, whether it is smiling at them to make them smile or to let them get on the bus ahead of me - I like to try and make people's days more positive or give them one thing to make their day a little brighter.
I don't tend to buy gifts for friends. Instead, I make gifts. The last gift I made was a family tree book for my one pastor that contained the first name of all his family members - him, his wife and children. I made each name into an acronymn describing that person using each letter of their name. I can't explain the whole thing. But it is an item that they can reflect on. It starts with my pastors first name, followed by his last name. The next page has his wife's name on it followed by a page of the day they married and stickers and embellishments about love and wedding. It goes on to their children etc. So the last give I GAVE was to my pastor who has been extremely supportive to me a Family Tree binder that they can cherish now and pass on to their eldest child when they pass on.
The best part of life for me is knowing Jesus is always with me, that though I may feel alone, I never am. My family doctor is a Christian as is my counselor. There is NO BETTER family doctor than mine...none! I'm proud to be Canadian and am thankful for the health care that Ontario has for its citizens. I love my cat, my crafts, I love learning and reading all the self-help books I can get my hands on and then passing that knowledge onto others by writing articles.
There but for the grace of God go I.

Hi Sherry, I am from Canada aswell, the old format was just the 4 doctors giving good advice, now with the addition of JM and the other woman it has become a gong show and I no longer watch it, if you enjoy it as it is great, but I choose to change the channel now.
Will do, but they do have Scripture in them, because they are geared toward a Christian audience :) Thanks for the How-Tos :)

Hello: I had to have a complete hysterectomy on May 26th of this year but now I am having other health issues but thank you. My pain was the worst case of Endometriosis the doctor had every seen.
To TheDoctorsBoard1, the posts I have put up here have been used elsewhere. According to copyright rules, so long as I post the author, book, etc., or webpage link, I have myself covered. This came from another site where I write and post similar articles to. I asked them to look at my long list of posts and they came back and said all was fine because I was giving the proper credit where due. Just an FYI, that site is www.sparkpeople.com and they are very strick about copyright. So be assured, I never infringe on things. Thanks for the heads up though. Constructive Criticism keeps us who love to write on our toes :)
Just a reminder,
Copying content unaltered from another site could be considered copyright infringement. Instead, please summarize the article in your own words and feel free to post the URL to their site with the complete article. Any posts with copyrighted articles will be rejected.
Thank you for understanding.
