About Me
My husband and I are both professional singers/entertainers. I NEVER thought I would ever get up in front of a crowd and perform, but my husband kept insisting that I had a great voice and that I could do it and then we progressed into a "variety, singing duo" in this area. With this economy, our calendar is not nearly as full as it use to be, but we are hanging in there. We have even performed on the Royal Caribbean and Carnival cruise lines (that is where this picture was taken! (I love this picture of us.) Mainly we perform at private clubs around this area as well as assited living and especially for the VA Home--we are both Veterans and PROUD of it! If we can bring a smile to the veterans in the homes--we will be there!
We celebrated our 25 th. wedding anniversary this year. I am so blessed to have this man as my husband. We have grown "together"--yes, winkles and all! LOL We have 4 children between us and 4 grand children, ranging in ages from 19 down to 5.
We moved down to the Florida area on the West side over 16 years ago and totally love it. We love being outside and all the sunshine. My husband is (thankfully) talented in fixing just about anything so that has kept him busy with this small house. This man makes me feel loved and adored each and every day. He makes me LAUGH every day which is the best of all.
We try each and every day to BE IN THE MOMENT as the past is the past and the future uncertain so-- just try and enjoy each and every day.
Love and Light to all of you

Do you ever get on facebook?
Girl.......Let me come over. It is so cold here my heater is on.
It was 80 yesterday and now it is raining and on the way to the 30's for the rest of the week.
We have to put in a new liner this summer. Finally after 12 years it got a leak!!!!!! About March we will get the new one put in so the water can get to the right PH and get warm. I just found out this week my son plans on coming home in May for his regular POOL PARTY at my house with all the "kids" he went to school with, which last year (2007) I had about 30. I call them kids, they are in their 40's but they grew up in my house so to speak. LOL
Enjoy your day.

Hi TALLYONE....
I have not heard from you in a long time. Are you keeping busy? How was your holidays?
Not much going on here. Hot days, cold nights, TEXAS WEATHER!! It is nearly 80 now and will be in the 40's tonight.
Drop in once in a while.
Take care.
Linda
I just want to wish you and hubby a MERRY CHRISTMAS before I forget. I get "senior moments" sometime and this site is picky about how and who you write!!!
Have a good Christmas and Happy New Year.

Hi Tallyone!
My mom had alzheimers so she was hardly ever here in the present day. She slept most of the time and when she was awake she never knew where she was or if she did she did not know what year it was. She thought I was still a little girl and going to school. Sometimes she mistook my daughter and her son for me and my son. It is so sad to see a vital smart person lose themselves to this disease.
You don't know what it means to the people in the nursing homes that you come.
God bless.
Linda
They have one now for everyone. I don't know how long it lasts or when it will be, it is for take 10 years off? It's probably injectionsl.
It was good to hear from you. Stay in touch. I'm sure you are a lot warmer than we are here in Texas. LOL
Linda
Thank you for your comments. My husband and I feel blessed to be able to sing when we entertain at assisted living homes and nursing homes. Even though some of the people come in and are "asleep?" we feel their souls are listening to us? We go around and touch and smile at everyone and it brings us so much JOY!! They get the biggest SMILES and clap and sing along if they can.
My mom is in a nursing home way up in Iowa and I miss her so much. She has had so many strokes that her body is still here but believe her mind is already on the other side? The last time I got to hear her voice was last Mother's Day and I treasure that so much! She was/is a great mom and we were so close and still are! I pray for her right before I go to sleep at night and wrap myself around her--SPOON--her and hug her close. None of these people ever thought they would end up in a nursing home? Who would want to? But then you get to see the care and attention in some of these places and it warms your heart. Treating my mom with respect and care means everything to us.
A friend of ours works in a animal hospital and they get a lot of animals coming in from thier owners passing over and I feel she is an ANGEL for she had met this man who was in a nursing home with his wife and dog and lost them both within 2 months? They happened to get in a 3# little dog, age 3, and said "let's give her to this man." Off they went and they presented the dog to him and he just cried and cried. Now that is CARING and love!
I'm so glad to read you go to the assisted living homes to perform. Both my parents were in a nursing home and really enjoyed the entertainers that would come once a month. Both being unable to walk, they still enjoyed the singing and entertainment that came.
THANK YOU! I know it means a lot to the people there.
Linda
