Here I am on day 14... wow, it has gone by really fast! I haven't lost in 2 days but ya know, I haven't gained either. My problem is a simple one (thanks for the reminder GREENFISH) I am not getting enough water in my day. I think I am actually going to have to fill up a pitcher with the amount of water that I need in a day and make sure I'm getting it down that way. I think I lose track and forget about it. Maybe this will help, at the very least it's an excuse to buy a cute new pitcher!!!
I just can't say enough for this diet.. I still love it, still believe in it. My willpower has gotten really strong since I had my "I WANT CRACKERS" day. I have made a point to go by Costco/Sams and make sure that I have a couple of the rotissere (spelling? you know the spiining ones!) chickens in the fridge for the days when I come home and I'm really hungry and need to eat something GOOD FOR ME quickly before I just grab something EASY! Man, has that helped a ton! They are really cheap too.. which helps because this diet can get a bit pricey if you don't plan well.
I found this AWESOME walking program in this months PREVENTION magazine that I am going to start on Monday (busy weekend getting my girls off to cheer camp) so I'm pretty excited about implementing that into my exisiting program. Maybe the walking will help with the water drinking too! Maybe I can go buy one of those cute water belts like I see people wearing with the 15 lime green water bottles strapped around it! Hell, maybe I should just get one of those anyway and wear it around all day to remind me that I NEED TO DRINK MORE WATER!!!
Do this diet people, change the way you think about food! Change the way you live! You can do it...

You're very welcome!
I've done cycles 1-3...the end of cycle 3 for me was about a month ago (I gotta check my blogs here, then I'll know the exact date). I didn't have much to lose when I decided to start the diet, just those last 10lbs. Well, I lost about 5lbs on the 17DD. For the past month or so I've been...MAINTAINING! Yay! I was so scared to weigh myself this morning (I've been avoiding it out of fear!) I'm thinking about starting a cycle again to reach my goal weight. Maybe Cycle 3? This means I'll need to up my exercise. I haven't been exercising this whole past month...only housework and errands if you can call that exercise! I want to start walking. I bought a pedometer but haven't put it to use yet.
For me on the 17DD, I felt that WATER = my weight loss. I hardly exercised, I cheated quite a bit (with "healthier" snacks), therefore, drinking 8-10 cups of water was the key. It's a definite metabolism booster. I still drink 8-10 cups a day, which may be why I'm maintaining with no exercise. The pitcher sounds like a great idea. I just take a notepad and keep a tally every day, nothing fancy. Also, I think I'm maintaining because I'm keeping my daily calories between 1700 and 2000, so I'm not splurging or going overboard.
Thank you so much for mentioning water (I just chugged the last half of the water I had at the gym... need to up my green tea too!).
Congrats on the weight loss!!! :) Very very happy for you! I'm sadly maintaining (not on purpose) but I'm also exercising pretty hard. I have a feeling I'm gaining a lot of toning muscles... anyway! - Congrats!!! :D
