About Me
Currently, my husband and I are doing The 17 Day Diet and have both lost around 20 lbs. My blog lately has been mostly recipes for the diet but I do blog about other things. I am a freethinker trying to find ways to improve my life and the lives of those around me. My hobbies are slow/local foods, cooking, sewing, hiking, yoga, reading, and random acts of kindness. I strive to lower my footprint on this world and live green. Check out my blog

HI,
There has been some debate as to whether or not the cauliflower pizza crust recipe is actually allowed on the diet. I have revised the one I found online which was regular mozarella cheese, egg whites, and caulflower to te one at this link http://betterversionofme-tracie.blogspot.com/search/label/caulifllower%20pizza%20crust
What is your opinion?
Please direct any questions specific to the allowances of the diet to http://www.facebook.com/17daydiet or the main http://www.the17daydiet.com

I had to peel the whole layer off, pam a new pan and put the peeled/now raw side down to brown it but I have to say it was still dang good! (Yes I used wax, I thought they were the same too, oops, lesson learned!) I have made 3 or 4 of the recipes off of your site and love them all! Good job! Not sure I could be doing as well as I am if it wasn’t for your recipes! I have lost 8 pounds and I am on C1 D10! Thanks again!!
Hi Tracie! I just wanted to be clear, when i flip the crust over, do i lay down new parch papaer? cuuz when i tried to flip mine, the paper would not come off of the bottom layer... so i layed down a new sheet, flipped it over and left the orig parch paper on the now top layer.... still in the oven i hope it comes out ok
Hi, I was reading your blog. Very nice with all of the pictures of food that you have made. I read that you had a hystectomy a few years ago and are on hormones. I too had one and was on hormones for 5 years. They told me that to be sure and have mammograms done, because of the hormones. I did exactly as I was told. I was on hormones for 5 years, actually the maximum time you should take them. Almost 5 years exactly I went in for my yearly mammogram and was told I had calcifications (early stage breast cancer). So I had a lumpectomy and radiation. Had to go off the hormones. Had non stop hot flashes for a couple of weeks. Then 9 years later had a recurrance and had to have a masectomy and chemo. So next month, I am going in for a tramflap (breast reconstruction). So, be sure to have you mammograms. Not sure of your age, but you can start at 35. Love this life style change diet. I am down 92 lbs. and feel so good.
