I've been interested in laser resurfacing but it's expensive for someone who was recently laid off. I've as recent as last week had microdermabrasion done. The week before that I had a laser treatment for sprider veins on my face. I'm really happy with the improvement in just the last two weeks. Guess I'm wondering if a series of microdremabrasion procedures give me the same effect as the laser resurfacing.
Hello there Dr. Orden, I just wanted to say how much I LOVE the show.....it's something that was definetly needed on Regular ( not satellite, or cable) TV. I have satellite and enjoy watching the Discovery Health channel, and shows of that nature. I LOVE learning!!
I wanted to tell you that the "Complete Makeover" that you did for that woman ( I sorry can't remember her name) It was TRULY AMAZING.....you are quite the "Artist". I know you changed her life significantly, I cried watching it........when she came out and revealed the NEW LOOK. You are a Great Dr., and I'm glad that you're on the show......I DVR it everyday, and usually watch it over dinner with my husband. He's away at work when it's on, and he enjoys watching it too!!
Thanks for your quick response. I will suggest this to her. One more question about the biopsy. I had heard that biopsies (because of the physical disruption of the cells) can acutally cause cells to divide and possibly "become" cancerous. Is this true?
Dr. Ordon, This question is for a close relative of mine. She has had 2 breast reductions done. A few years ago, she said she had a lump about the size of a golf ball removed (non-cancerous). Now, she has a lump on the other breast also the size of a golf ball. She had a mammogram, but the lump doesn't show at all (because of the location being on the side). She's going to have the lump removed because she said it's becoming painful and she's concerned about it "becoming" cancerous. I'm just courious to know what your opinion is about removing the lump as opposed to just leaving well enough alone. Also, if she gets the lump removed by a general surgeon, will she need a plastic surgeon to close (would most insurance cover a plastic surgeon for this sort of thing)? You help so many people. I just want you to know how appreciated you are. Thank you for your support. Sue
I attempted to get laser hair removal, but I have beauty marks (moles), and I was told that they would not/could not touch hair growing out of moles. I will check with an endocrinologist, though to see what it is. I'm just so frustrated and want rid of it. Also, I have one hair on my arm as well (also growing out of a mole). Thank you for getting back to me and for the advice. Keep up the good work. Thank you for your support.
