I have a question. My mom and grandmother both had breast cancer and had to have mastectomies. I am thinking about having a surgery I saw on tv regarding taking out all the breast tissue so I won't have to worry about getting breast cancer and then having implants put in. What do you think of this procedure and do you feel like it is a good idea or should I just get mastectomies and then do the implants?? With my family history I would rather have a surgery like this done on my terms rather than wait to hear I have breast cancer. Thank you for any advice you may have.
I love watching you and the others every day, I set aside that hour for you guys while my kids nap lol.
I have a question though, I posted in the blog section and wrote a note to the "ask the dr's" section of the site about weight loss surgery, my blog is titled "Obese, need help" I know I need surgery to help me loose the weight I can't loose on my own, I have tried almost everything to get the weight off and it just won't come off but my ins will not cover any surgery under any condition, even with a note from a dr saying that I need the surgery to live.
Is there anyone you know who could help me? I don't have a lot of money, I have 4 small children one of whome was born with congenital heart defects and most of our money goes to raising them and paying off his ongoing medical bills. I would give almost anything to loose the weight, not just for my well being but for my children as well. I can't tell you how much getting the surgery would mean to me, it would change my life forever, in a great way, and it would change my relationship with my husband (We don't have much sex because I am uncomfortable with my body) and with my children, I could get out and play with them more and feel more comfortable going out in public with my family.
Thank you for reading, I hope you read my blog. You can ask me any question you want to I am not shy and like I said I will do whatever I need to, to get this surgery done.
I've watched the doctors shows and can't recall of a subject of ear reshaping, how early in age can one do early reshaping? And if such procedurecan be avioded, please tell what are ways to prevent from ears folding over and making them stick out?
I REALLY WANT TO HAVE A BREAST ENLARGEMENT AND SOME LINES ON MY FACE FIXED BUT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE I FEEL I CAN TRUST TO DO IT RIGHT.I HAVE HEARD ALOT OF BAD THINGS ABOUT PLASTIC SURGERY.I LIVE IN THE INDIANAPOLIS,IN.AREA DO YOU HAVE ANYONE YOU TRUST THAT IS CLOSE TO ME?
Hi, I have had severe acne for about 5 years now and recently went on Accutane. After my Accutane treatments I realized that my skin was no longer smooth and had many indentations from acne scars. I've been told that I should do chemical peels and microdermabrasion one year after my treatment but I know that these treatments will not be able to completley smooth my skin out. I had looked into getting collagen injected into my indentatins and was wondering if it would be safe and if there are any other procedures I could do to smoothen my skin.
Dr. Ordon, I look forward to seeing the episode where the girl won a contest had the RNY surgery and is getting a body makeover. That is my situation. I hope when I am done having babies I can get it done too, that excess skin can really hinder the healing process of the old you. I know this for a fact, I still feel like I am that 285 lb women b/c of all the wrinkles and yucky skin. Best wishes to that gal.

Hi, I love the show. My question to you is have you ever seen Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis and if so I would love to hear from you. I am being put off from one Dr. to another and at the end of my rope. I have a blog nanner65 and I have written to you guy's a few times. I have active symptoms that would involve each one of you on the show..
Congratulations on such a wonderful show. I think you're a great doctor, not just some plastic surgeon selling procedures. You obviously know what you're doing and you look like the type of doctor that becomes genuinely concerned with his patients. I wanted to ask you, my husband who is 32 is slowly losing his hair. He has one tiny bald patch in the back of his head and he absolutely refuses a hair transplant. Is there anything out there in the market (he seems to have it in his head that if he takes Zinc his hair will stop falling out) like a suppliment or a cream or a shampoo that might help? I'd really appreciate your advice, especially since I know you're a very busy man.
