Hi .. I'm from Canada. Love the doctors show !!
Ive been married for 31 years, my husband and I are semi-retired.
I'm not sure either one of us is enjoying getting older, although nothing terribly serious going on with either one of us. Hubby has asthma, and I'm battling the bulge more than I'd like to. It used to be so easy, but its like the golden years makes everything just a tad harder to battle through. I'm not one to go to the doctors on a regular basis, tsk tsk, I know. I've always got an excuse not to, but its mainly do to being a big chicken. If I had to pick doctor or dentist, I'd definately pick doctors.... OHhhhh yeah, 50 years old and still a big baby.
We have two sons.... BOTH still at home. Our oldest boy, his woman and their two children have an apartment in our basement , our youngest son stays upstairs with us. Its a crazy household at times, but family is very important to my husband and myself so all the daily special moments shared out weigh the lack of quiet times and privacy.
I care for my two grandchildren on a daily basis. As exhausted as I might be at the end of a day, I wouldn't change a thing, they bring so much joy. Actually I think they keep hubby and I feeling a little younger! Our grandson just turned 3 and our grandaughter just turned 1. Busy bees they are. My husband & I are real home bodies, its just where we love to be.
I don't watch television very much, but lately the doctors tv show has me kind of hooked, along side of the young and restless. I just crank up the volume while I'm preparing dinner and peek around the kitchen door if it sounds like there is something on I should be seeing.
I take regular vitamins, herbal supplements, try to eat well, and get on my treadmill daily. I've always been interested in natural remedies so I have books galore on the subject.
Bad habit. My husband & I both smoke. OUTSIDE ONLY!
Hope to hear from lots of interesting people & learn from others some tricks they have on keeping weight off and staying healthy in their golden years.
