Flu shots and Pneumonia Shots

I just received my flu shot coupled with a pneumonia short yesterday.  U have  had them before, so the pneumonia short was a booster.  My question is I experienced terrible itching last night in which I put liquid Benadryl on it, so that cured that one.  This morning I woke up with a very swollen site and pain from the site up to my shoulder.  In fact, it's hard to lift my arm.  They were...

Tips for a Safe Halloween

Halloween is a fun time of year for kids. They get to dress up as their favorite character, go trick-or-treating and eat candy. But there can be hidden dangers for children as well. Dr. Sears offers the following guidelines so parents can insure their children’s safety during this festive holiday. Make sure your child’s costumes are safe: • Makeup should be non-toxic so it doesn’t cause skin irritation or rashes • Costumes need to be...

The Great Vaccine Debate

On yesterday’s show, we touched on a very complex and confusing subject that all parents are faced with — childhood vaccines. So many parents have questions about the safety of vaccines, yet nobody wants to go back to the days before vaccines, when thousands of children would die each year from these now preventable illnesses. One of our guests was a mother whose child had been damaged by a vaccine, and unfortunately, there are many...

Disconnecting Life Support

I want to thank RetRevOcala for all his kind words.  After nearly three years of feeling very guilty about my decision,  I can rest knowing that the love of my life went when HE wanted to go, and not because it was best at the time.  My pastor was with me at the time, but due to his very young age, and knowing how hard it had been on me for seven weeks he wasn't...

Cerebral Palsy

This is my beautiful daughter Brooklyn. She is three years old and was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. As a mother of a child with a disability, I know in my heart that I would do ANYTHING, yes ANYTHING to help improve her condition. Our journey to get her where she is today, walking in this picture, was long. I fought for answers to my questions, and no one could answer them. As a baby she...

We had a patient who had abdominal pain, and  rectal bleeding for over a year.  She was approximately 24 years old.  The decision was made to preform an upper and lower endoscope.  During the colonoscopy we found what we thought was a large polyp.  When trying to remove it it began to move.  Once removed and taken out we discovered it...

Laser Hair Removal

So far I have been doing 7 (out of 8) treatments of Laser Hair Removal with a method that is called IPL.  However, unlike the one that has been mentioned on today's The Doctors show, it consists of applying light to the hair folicle, but not in a constant stream.  It's more of applying, removing it from the spot, and then reapplying to another spot.  Before that, I had tried the laser method that involved...

Core Blood

Diabulimia
