I am relatively new to this site and I can't figure out how to post by joining the Dr's group - I can read what is posted but I can't see where to post a comment on that message board?! Help me if you don't mind! Thanks!
cluehunter: I have put in a request to our technical help area. May I suggest you do the same: http://thedoctorstv.com/main/help_form
If you crave pizza like I do, you might want to try the cauliflower pizza crust. I made it and was in love at first bite. The recipe is on the recipe page.
I don't think it is completely diet proof because it has too much cheese, but if you have to have pizza I highly suggest this one. I made the crust and it came out fantastic. The only caution I have is, if you are going to use a pizza stone, don't push the cauliflower into the stone. It will stick even if you use cooking spray. I would suggest making it on waxed paper then putting the stone on top and flipping it over.
I topped my pizza with a low carb/low sugar pizza sauce, red bell pepper, yellow onion and pre-cooked ground turkey with italian spices. I put a little more cheese over the top so that it had the appearance of pizza as well as the taste. I put it back into the oven until the bell pepper began to soften. I'm telling you it was a treat to savor. I made a double batch for my husband and I. He ate four pieces and I ate two. We found ourselves fighting over the remaining two for lunch the next day. To reheat, I put it in a fry pan on low, covered the pan and cooked a couple of minutes until it was warmed. Watch the crust so that it doesn't burn.
I am frem Fremont...between San Jose and San Francisco...we are not that far apart. How cool is that...yes the weather is crazy!

Today is day 16. I've lost 7 of the 27 pounds I wanted to lose. I'm pretty excited about it. I know it's not the most weight loss recorded for a 16 day period according to other people's entries but I'm okay with that. I have managed to find ways of going to restaurants and and kids sporting events without cheating. I take along a teabag and my own dressing. I take fruit whenever I leave before lunchtime just in case I don't get back as soon as I expected and I need a snack. I'm looking forward to Cycle #2 although I have to say I have enjoyed Cycle #1 and look forward to many of the meals I haven't even tried yet. Good luck to everyone.
since I don't have the book yet could you please give me an idea of what you're eating in a day and how you're preparing it?
