(Single) Mom to 2 great, self-sufficient kids (now 33 and almost 35), grandmother to 2 adorable grandkids and 1 grand-dog. I share my home with at least 3, and up to 8, golden retrievers. I have been active in golden retriever rescue for 20+ years. I also am a clinical pharmacist...I spent 30+ years working and teaching in hospital ICU settings, and just recently embarked on a *new* career as a clinical consultant for long term care facilities.  I had *unofficially* done this for years, for grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles, friends parents, etc. Now, I am officially learning everything I can about geriatric medicine and trying to be another *eye* on our senior citizens. Besides family, golden and work, I'm also trying to find out what I like....I think this is a real problem, particularly for women, who spend 20+ years raising kids and never even thinking about themselves. I'm trying to take better care of myself.
