Hello Everyone...I'm an RN, Clinical Medical, Sports & Self-Development Hypnotherapist, as well as a Nurse Educator. My special interests are in the area of what I call "Disorderly Eating" which is a bit different from the familiar eating disorders of anorexia & bulimia. Most of us are or have been "sloppy, undisciplined eaters", therefore practicing disorderly behaviors. All of this, over time, leads to all sorts of negative outcomes, including obesity, being over-weight, adult onset diabetes, circulatory disease, heart disease, certain cancers, migraines, fibromyalgia & a host of other ailments. There are also cognitive issues that are related to "disorderly eating", from memory to hyper-activity & the all too famous emotional roller-coaster. If you are familiar with sugar or food addiction, emotional/compulsive, binge, stress or secret eating...then you are familiar with my interests.

I've worked in several Universities & also in private practice. Now, my attention is to writing, coaching & designing programs for the public. I truly enjoy discussing these subjects, as well as anything to do with Interactive Self-Hypnosis. I've been in this field for over 35 years....;-))  My other interests include oncology/cancer, pain management & self-growth. 

On a personal note, I am a recovering disorderly eater & so do know all the in's & out's, as well as the "secrets." I currently live in Sarasota, FL, but we're in the process of moving back north...this time to Rhode Island where my family resides. So, good-bye sun & hello rain!  I'm in the process of writing a new book, so I'll probably enjoy sitting at my computer, listening to the melodic raindrops hitting my window.

I love "automatic mind" journaling, distance walking, skiing, reading & cooking. I'm in love with education, so I'm always taking a class here & there. Once we're in RI, my plans are to start writing fiction & perhaps taking some University writing or literature classes.
