Dr. Braverman is going through “madopause”. His only defense was to cite a nutrition study at Havard that was proven false. Could it be that his hormones have dried up? |
Thank you Dr. Lisa! As I began listening to Dr. Braverman I instantly began to feel as though something was wrong with me and my situation (recovering from total hysterectomy) was hopeless. I was so very happy and hopefull when you started speaking over his garbage. I wasnted you to knock him off the stage. You are my hero! |
Thank you to Dr. Lisa for speaking up! Braverman obviously has “issues”. His purpose should have been to explain the science and not add his commentary and opinion about older people – women or men. I cannot beleive he said that CEOs are being fired in their 50’s because they are old and have memory problems. Thank goodness that Dr. Lisa interjected otherwise there is no telling what would come next from Braverman’s mouth. |

I agree if you have not been there you can’t understand. Sometimes I I hope you will do another show on this and not just a small part I mean the whole show . PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
Thank You |

Imagine this guy on “Oprah”, or “The View”… |

Thank You Dr. Lisa!! I’ve been having some questions since I’ve been going thru perimenopause so I tuned in to listen and it scared me. I’m so glad that you were there. I never saw my mom or grandma go thru anything like that! My grandmas did have dementia, but didn’t get that until the last few years of her life and she lived to be near ninety and she was a nurse who took care of everyone around her! Dr. Lisa you sounded just like my Gyn. Now I know that I can get thru this and it’s not something so terrible! |

I think Dr Lisa should have let Dr Braverman talk and then add her 2 cents. I also think Dr Braverman should have used less offensive words. I would have liked to hear more on this subject. I am 46 and just starting to experience some of these symptoms. |
I did NOT agree with Dr Lisa at all! Dr Braverman was talking as if it were me doing the talking. I do not celebrate getting older. The memory thing is the worst. I forget everything. That’s nothing to celebrate. I hope to see Dr Lisa when her body stats to change. She will surely change her way of thinking. I’m really on the computer right now to order Dr Braverman’s book. |

Again, congrats to Dr. Lisa. I loved her positive statements. I went through an early menopause and was put on hormone therapy. I am no longer on hormones and feel great. Never had a problem with memory loss and always kept a positive attitude. Another thing to remember is to put exercise in your life (dance, yoga, walking, etc.) It works wonders for your mind and body and makes you feel good about yourself. |

tell me what kind of exercise helps a dry vagina, and it’s not sex because all that does is cause uti’s. |
This is a reply to a dry vagina. Have you talked to your doctor about this problem? There are prescription cremes that help with that problem. I experienced that problem and got help from my doctor. Problem has been solved. |

Here is a very high quality cream for vaginal dryness that you wont need a prescription for. http://womenshealth.com/shop/catalog/product_in…

To the people who thought Dr. Lisa was rude, wake up! As a woman, I’d like to think of menopause as a natural part of life – not a disease needing to be managed. Instead of popping more pills (whether “bioidentical” hormones or Braverman’s vitamin array which he had on the table) women need to stay active, both mentally and physically. Exercise your brain as well as your body, and maybe you’ll remember where you left your keys. I can live with the menopausal symptoms of all the “toxic hormones” in my brain and my ovaries shrinking from their former walnut size to little peanuts. Find a cure for a real disease, like cancer, and I’ll be impressed. |

I agree, the memory thing is the worst |

This has nothing to do with politeness. Racist or anti-semitic rhetoric would have been interrupted (& rightfully so) for those groups do not allow themselves to be disparaged. Degrading women any more than society already does offers them no help. The message that was received by the general population is this: Never hire or date any woman over 40 because you will have a dried up, hormonal, deficient employee or girlfriend. This drives the final nail in the financial coffins of vital, experienced women looking for employment or hoping to keep the jobs they have. Men are not treated the same way as women in that age group. Dr Lisa was too polite. Travis straddled the fence & came down on the wrong side. It would have been nice to hear a man put in a good word for us. When you don’t speak up against sexism, you side w/the sexist. There is no neutral ground. It is never acceptable to malign women. Guest or not, Braverman’s behavior was indefensible. |
Travis acted very professional, Dr. Lisa acted very rude, . We wanted to hear what was said , maybe not all of you agree with what was said and that is fine, we all have different thoughts about it, we still want ALL the information, not just one side. |

are any of you using the vivelle dot, and if you are do you like it. I am post menopause but dry places and memory loss mood swings, but for a good reason,ha. I also had a hysterectomy 24 years ago and was on the climara patch but I can’t get back on it because of fluid retention and other reasons which I can’t remember now. thanks |
I was so proud of Dr. Lisa for standing up to the absolute ignorance coming out of this “physicians” mouth. I was watching in disbelief and was so happy to see that she couldn’t let this pass! Bravo Dr. Lisa. |
I joined just to say I appreciate Dr. Lisa standing up to that jerk! Dr Braverman was way out of line, and Dr. Lisa challenged him firmly, appropriately and consistently. I know a lot of women who have blossomed in menopause – they have time for themselves and become interesting, involved, fit exciting women. And you can’t tell me every CEO gets fired at 50!!! That is an outrageous statement. |
Where are these female CEOs he talks about? Sorry, honey, women have not made it that far. Take a look at the CEOs from the banking, auto, financial, etc sector. HMMM. All suits. I thought it was the Republican line up with 9 white guys & no females or people of color. To those of you who love this quack: his attitude is what has been keeping women under the glass ceiling ( you can’t put women in responsible jobs or their toxic hormones will create chaos- this was popular during the 19th C and a good part of the 20th C)Women are intelligent, productive people & not hormonal maniacs! |
