Introducing the potty sooner

In my experience, as a mother of three young children (girl 3yrs, boy almost 2yrs and girl 6 month), it is good to introduce the potty sooner. My two older ones started going to the potty when they were 7 months old, just to try it. From that age we always took them to the potty when we saw they had to go, although they peed in the diaper they did the other thing in the potty. It was such a hit going to the toilet (doing like mom and dad) that they soon let us know when they had to go. When they were ca 1,5yrs (the boy a little bit later) they didnt want to do anything in the diaper and just tried to take it off. It’s such a freedom for them to move around with no diaper :) My older girl was 18months old and the boy 21months old when they stopped wearing diaper during the day. They boy still sleeps with his diaper but the girl stopped wearing diaper during the night week before her 2nd birthday. We’ve started taking the youngest one to the potty when we see she has to go :) |
