Starting today…..again. Wondering how it’s working for people in their 50’s….especially women. (you know….all those hormone changes)

I will be 50 in May. I am post-menopausal and love this diet!  I am on Day 6 Cycle 2 and have a total weight loss of 16 pounds!  It could have been more but I haven’t exercised like I should due to a bad knee. Just do the exercise you can and follow the diet plan. Read the book carefully. I took it section by section and only read the section that applied to me at the time. Be sure to use the reccommended condiments……that is different in bland or grand!

I am 52, and am about 10 days into Cycle 3. I did very well in Cycle 1, very slow in Cycle 2, and a little better in Cycle 3. Down a total of 24 pounds. I am having some hormonal shifts since starting this diet, but don’t know if they are related to the diet. Overall I have more energy. I am not the most faithful exerciser, but have been walking a mile every other day or so. I have asthma and limited lung capacity for cardio. I find that gets better as the pounds come off. A months ago, I could not have walked a mile without weazing.

I’m 56 and I’m in Day 16 of Cycle 3; I lost 7 lbs in Cycle 1, 5 lbs in Cycle 2 and to my knowledge and another 3 lbs in Cycle 3 (as of a few days ago). My total weight loss is 15 lbs. However, I don’t drink the green tea, I don’t get in my 8 glasses of water every day and I don’t exercise. So, I would give this diet a THUMBS UP!!

My wife and I are still going strong.  We started February 6th.  She is 10 pounds away from her goal.  My original goal was 198, but I adjusted it down finally to 190 but my current body weight is 185, a total of 25 lbs.  I havent been this weight since I was a high school wrestler and I had to “cut” weight to make weight back in 1973.  I have been 185 for 5 days and I have been eating about 2000 calories a day.  This method of eating has been a great move for me. Thanks Dr Mike.

Lorie, the last I weighed myself last weekend, I was down 15 lbs; I have about 25 more to go….My last day of cycle 3 is today, so I plan to weigh myself in the morning….and then decide whether to go back on C1 or C2…..or stay on C3 for a few more days…..I dread going back on 1 or 2 because I’m spoiled with the freedom of Cycle 3, so I think it’s smart that you stay on Cycle 1 & 2 without “tasting” the freedom of Cycle 3. However, ther is another message board where members are blogging about their second round of Cycles, and they’re doing great, so I may do it too. I’ll decide when I see what the scale says in the morning….LOL!!

Started the diet last week and broke down on Saturday night with a few glases of red wine then everything went black because i started eatting appitizers. Well today I am going to start the diet again and hope I am much stronger next Saturday, which is the night I get togethe with co-workers and we nosh and drink. I guess I will have to stop the saturday nights drinks ad not get with my friends for aobut 3 weeks. However, the first week life was good and I was doign well and had lost 4 pounds in 5 days. HOpefully, I didn’t really ruin things to badly on Saturday night.

Hi Pamme…..Get-togethers are just that….it doesn’t matter what you are drinking…..So here’s a suggestion……Eat your Cycle 1 dinner (make sure it includes a LOT of the cleansing vegetables) as late as possible before you leave home to meet your co-workers, and while mingling, you can drink Club soda (or just plain water) with a twist of lemon or lime! Believe me, if you do that, you will feel so good at the end of the night. Check back in and let us know how you do next week! Good Luck!
