mansfield84 if you can try walking for 17 min that is better than no excerise at all.

I’m so excited.  I am on day 6 and have lost 6 pounds.  After day 3, I was really struggling.  Now I am so motivated.  I just keep thinking that in only 11 days I can add more foods.

Thanks efriend17. It has no means been easy getting use to all the bathroom trips and all the veges. But I do hope that this program continues to be successful for me.

Just getting started! Only on day 3.

I am a bit confused about my weightloss…weighed myself before starting (morning of day1) and I was 170 lbs.
The next morning I weight in at 164 lbs! (I know I didn’t lose 6 lbs in one day…am blaming it on my scale being wonky…)
Today I weighed in at 163 lbs..at least we are going in the right direction :) I will consider my starting weight to be 165 lbs..as I am not sure what else do to do!

I am a Mom to 4 beautiful children (ages 11, 7, 6, and 3) they are my life! But in the process I forgot about taking care of me!! (This is the heaviest I have ever been..4 years ago I was 125 lbs! – I also just turned 40 two weeks ago, and wasn’t impressed with that! HA!) I am motivated to get back to that and stay there! I did a bad number on my knee, during my brown belt TKD test in May I am waiting on knee surgury for that – so am limited to what I can do for exercise..but that is not an excuse…I can use an exercise bike and I can swim…so far have managed just fine with those.

My motivation is hight right now, and so far have had no problems with the program – so glad for these boards – just reading them offers support!

DeeDeesDay-That’s fantastic! Keep up the good work.
Nepa girl-What an accomplishment! Those are some nice incentives. I can see you at the Y already! You go girl!
stuntchik-Wow!! Incredible result. I lost only 4.5 pounds the whole week.
mansfield84-Way to go! I’ll be starting Cycle 2 in a few days. Keep us posted on how you’re doing and what to expect. Thanks.

cshelica, I know what you mean about the scale. I have 2 of them and I weighed myself on one and I was 205lbs then on the other I was 209lbs. Today I weighed on the one that gave me 209lb and I weigh 207.2. So I think the one I use in the kitchen is more accurate than the one in the bathroom upstairs. I am there with you.

DeeDeesDay, it will be successful have faith. Today I weighed myself and I went down to 207.2. I lost 2 more lbs.

My first time weighing in since I started.
Start weight 180 pounds (AUGH!).
Day 17: -9 pounds = 171 pounds.

I’ll take that! It’s about 4.5 pounds a week.

Need to work on More exercise, I’ve not been compliant with that on a regular basis.

Drink more water.

Seeing as how this IS working, I think I can now weigh myself a little more often than once every 17 days. It was killing me to see all of you great stats!

Great job everyone. Heres to negative numbers and positive minds!

You bet, Melissaw72! Walking is excellent all of the ‘experts’ say. Can’t walk outside here yet but did do the treadmill this morning for the first time in the morning. Hopefully, I can continue that and then do more in the afternoon. It is just sooooo hard for me to get moving but I know that if I can keep it up for a couple of weeks that it will be in my mind/system to want to continue. Just have to hang with it long enough.

Jackieg Great Job Love that number! I’m jealous!.

The rest of you are making me feel like a total slacker. Obviously you all must live in the East some place icy and cold. Here I am in California, Northern about 2 hrs from Sacramento and 2 hrs from Nevada, with temps in the 30s to 50s depending and no snow even though I live in a rural area that has seen snow on rare occasions. I hate the cold and don’t want to get out and walk. Burrrrr. Now I feel that I must! Thanks for the push. Keep up the good work everyone and here is to sunny days ahead!

Walking is all I can do so when I can do it I take advantage of it. Don’t belong to a gym (not around that is $ reasonable) so my only chance to walk is outside.  I dont think a treadmill would wake me up in the AM unless I had a window open next to me—it’s the fresh air that helps me wake up.  I usually go twice a day but need to work up to that.  I can hang in there, just need good weather!

if you want a good workout try shoveling ice covered snow. LOL! wow is that hard work. I had to get out & clean it all up today before the temps drop & everything gets as hard as concrete. At least it warmed up to around 34 degrees & I didn’t have to wear a heavy coat or gloves. I wonder how many calories I burned? I was at it twice so far . 30 minutes each time. Once before I went to the gym & again when I came home. I’m glad I have the energy!
