Yay Bear! I bought some shorts yesterday and reached for the 16 which ended up at my ankles too! Used to wear 18-20W and now…14 regular. Yipppeee! congrats to you! Oh, today someone told me if they had to guess my size they would say 8. HA! The dress i have on is actually size 16 regular. I have from a 12-16 in my closet now, but nothing with that big-girl W attached to it! LOL!

bearcritter and susiecutie, that is awesome!!! I wish I could be where you guys are..
This is such a struggle for me, I dont know why I cant just stick to it and stay with it.. I havent had a good week.. I think I just get depressed and eat.. But the good thing is that I am more aware now and I am more careful, but still cant stick with it..

missycal, i hate to say this but maybe its just not your time to lose the weight.. or do you really want to lose it?  I mean really want it.  Ive been where you are many many times, this time was different for me.  I dont cheat or if i do its very minor cheats as in reg sour cream instead of fat free and that happens no more than once a week.

missycal, I have been reading your posts for awhile, maybe you should not be doing this diet until you
are ready, it sounds like you want to be ready, but are not. This diet really works, there are many who are doing it that are proof. I did so many diets and thought I was ready to do them, lost weight and gainned it all back plus more. I am now down 92 lbs. 42lbs of this is from this diet, the remainder is from WW. I have found that you have to put yourself first, that is hard to do,my family always came first until I had breast cancer twice. Now, I have to put me first and getting healthy is my top priority, so I can be here for my family. I wish you the best, but make sure your ready to give this 100 % and no cheats. I hope I have not offended you, but wait until you are sure you are ready.

I really do want to lose weight, for many reasons, health, to have more energy to look better ect,,, I think my family problems and depression get in the way sometimes. And I just get in a funk.. But I am going to make myself stay exactly on track for two weeks and see if I get anything going, that I will start tuesday after the 4th, in the meantime I am still trying my best.

missycal, if you really want to do this we are all here for you.  When you start back up and want to cheat.. just think about how many days it will set you back. Its what I do now.

I have a wedding to attend on Saturday.  I am allowed 1 drink a day as I am in cycle 3 but I havent decided if I want to drink at all, I just dont want to set myself back a few days or more.. especially with July 4th right around the corner.

missycal, i agree with BuffyB and JuneE, this is something you have to do for yourself and no one else. You also have to be ready to do this, and if you are i will help all i can. I am on C1R4 and i do plan on having something extra on the 4th family get together, but i won’t overdo it. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

missycal I also agree with BuffyB and JuneE, It wont happen unless you make it happen. We are all human and we all have weak points. Dont beat yourself up. Learn to put you first and take each day as it comes. Take care of yourself and know that we are  all here for you. Good Luck and hang in there!!!

Congratulations to you bear, you are proof that this can be done. It is interesting reading all the posts, it seems so many people have trouble with the holidays and birthdays, there will always be these and we just have to work around them. I see where people say, oh, I am starting after the 4th of July, why not start now and show everyone how serious you are about losing weight. I am 64 years old and just started realizing a few years back that lugging all the extra weight around really takes a toll on your body. I am determined to get these last 15 lbs off. I am now at 165, starting weight 253. Bear, you are really an inspiration to all of us. Thank you.

bearscritter and buffyb great going. I have gone up several lbs but I get back in gear. I ended up moving my mom in last Sunday. And Wed had a nice surprise of my almost brother-in-law and wife drop in from Oregon for a week. But will be readjusted. Building an addition on to the house and then things will be more back to normal. Right now its kind of stressful and thats when the chocolate attacks come out…………m&m"s and reese cups find there way to me………..

Welcome JohnNL! congrats on ur loss!!! Continue with the plan and you will be a looser along with everyone else!! ( I like saying that LOL)

BuffyB OMG girl!!! You are the inspiration!!! Thank you for being there for me!!! You have done really awesome, continue the great work!!!

susiecutie44!! AWESOME JOB 55 gone and only 40  to go! that is amazing!!!  Think back to when we first started!! Its totally fantabulous isnt it!. Keep it up!!!!

nurse67 I would give anything to have my mom back. She lived with my husband and I for 12 years. We lost her 2 years ago on fathers day ( great gift for my dad in heaven). She was my inspirator, and because of her I QUIT SMOKING after smoking for 40 years! Stress sucks unless its ustress (good stress) but im sure you already knew that. I am going thru some horrible work stress myself so I understand. Hang in there it will get better. I dont have a problem with the candy mine is sweet breads like raisin bread and such. But I have a thin slice and I am set to go for a long time!! Hang in there and continue the good losses!!

OK everyone, now dont put urselves down! You are all doing an awesome job. We are human and not perfect, if we were perfect we would not be on this web site (LOL) WE ARE ALL LOOSERS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE LOOSERS (until we meet our goal) Hang in there everyone LOVE YA ALL!!!

I dont even want to write on here, I am really feeling depressed and a failure, I have gone over the deep end. Have really been praying about it. I feel yucky. I have just ate out of control the last couple of days, I think it is because I have been so sad latley, not only is july the worst month for me ever(it is when my daughter died) but my parents wont talk to me and it hurts deeply. It is a long story, but I Have a drug addicted brother and he has spun his web around my parents, and I say what I think and what I feel.
Anyways since I have been eating out of control really bad the last couple of days, my stomach has been hurting, and I just feel gross. So I am going to really get back on track tomorrow and try to exercise away my depression and sadness. I feel so good when I am on this diet, and I really want to change my life around, it just has been such a struggle for me. On a happy note, my daughters baby could come any day, so very excited about that.

missycal exersize is my run to “food, drug” it helps so much. when i get on the treadmill i am not running away from anything I AM RUNNING TO CONFRONT EVERYTHING! That really helps my mind and motivates me to continue. I am so sorry that you have been and still are being mentally abused. Right now you must just consider only you. Dont think/worry about anything else. I know its hard but you have to take care of yourself cuz no one else will. Start again tomorrow and do the best you can. Be true to yourself and you will come out on top!! We are here for you. God bless.

So day 12 now, just decided to do another weigh in, last time was day 6 or 7, lost 13 pounds there, mustve been a whole lot of waterweight, 3 pounds added to that over the last 4 days, makes a total of 16 pounds.

I’m on track it seems :)

Yay John! Any lost wt is good riddance!

Koala_medium Fancystitch 478 posts

Hi all, I am on C1 for the 4th time around, not going to weigh until the end of the cycle which is next Wed. but i must say it may not be good. I have been down with the flu, then down with an allery attack and now down with a bad toohache. Went to the dentist today and got antibiotics and 2 weeks from now he’ll start pulling teeth, yep i said teeth, he said they all have to go and he’ll do some each visit (no insurance either, we’ll figure it out). So the next 2 cycles may be a little difficult, anybody have ideas on what to eat without much chewing involved.

Congrats to all the losers on here and way to go for all of you so close to your goal.

Teds_trip_175_medium nurse67 264 posts

fancy make the smoothies just remember to not use straws you will pull the clots the sockets where the teeth were removed and make them bleed again/or more. The cold will make them feel better also.
