Nurse 67 that is awesome! I think that has also been my weakness and I too have had the book floating around in the trunk of my car and began relying on my memory instead of the book and program. And a bit lax in a few areas. Why I thought I could rely on memory when I start down my hall on a mission, get halfway through the hall and cannot remember, for the life of me, what I was set to do……Gotta’ love it! So, back to focusing…we just had a baby shower for my daughter, my first grandbaby and everyone there stated how good I looked and asking what my plan was….so even when I am feeling like a tank I still have to remember I have lost 29 pounds….and only have 10 more to go!  Holy cats batman! And the clothes are feeling pretty stinkin’ good!!!  Have a fantastical day!

FabTam keep me posted of your progress and especially if you start dropping again after re reading……I was getting the habit of eating skinny cow ice cream everyday at least once…………. ;(  Don’t know why I thought my body wouldn’t notice it if I didn’t count it…………

151.8 getting excited to see the scale in the 40’s then 30’s and I’ll almost be there.  Book has me below 90 and have never been below 117 that I can remember………

Teds_trip_175_medium nurse67 264 posts

151.2 almost to the forty’s………..Maybe by Monday

September FabTam 36 posts

Nurse67, oh my gosh, the book has you at below 90….what???  You must be inky dinky, like 4’3" to have that kind of number….when you stated you were looking at 140’s then 130’s and still dropping I thought that was so unreasonable and you putting crazy kinds of pressure on yourself….I still say you must be inky dinky. I know the book has me in at 120-125 and I have not seen that number in forever……I think my 140 goal is reasonable and obtainable, 15-20 pounds to go….this is lifetime so I know I will get there…the secret surprise is finding stuff in my closet I was going to donate because I could not fit into them and I am enjoying wearing them. I have to be positive and not beat myself up about where I am now and the whine of ‘why can’t I get there and drop this last weight’ instead of the celebration of ’ look where you are since last summer….are you kidding! Snap out of it kid! ‘  And then I pick myself back up. It’s all good and I am hanging in there, just like all of us! Rock on! Weight off!

I’m 4’10—5 Foot if I have the right shoes on—lol They figure 5 lbs per inch and and chart starts at 5’.0 small-boned at 95 lbs which I am…………Isn’t that crazy!

Icon_missing_medium JuneE 570 posts

nurse, you are pretty short and I think you could get away with 95lbs but you’d be really really skinny.

I did mine and they said I could weight 120 lbs and im 5’4".  If i got down to that size people would think i had an eating disorder

Teds_trip_175_medium nurse67 264 posts

The sad part is if I used their ratio and took another 10 lbs off for the less than 5 foot that would make it 85 lbs…..I think I have more bone then that plus being big chested—would look strange…….

nurse, you’d hardly be able to stand up then.  You are definitely right.. I think they are way off base.. it also doesnt account for people that have a lot of muscle.. they will weigh more

According to the book at 5’5 I should be 115. But i went onto the 17DD and used their BMI calculator and it says at 149, i would be normal weight and not overweight, and at 115 it says i would be anorexic, so i think whoever did the chart in the book made a huge mistake. That’s just me. And hey i don’t know any doctor who wouldn’t  be thrilled that i’m normal weight versus that fact that i was obese for years.

On day 13 and down 9lb, slipped up couple days ago and ate couple of grandsons waffle fries and didn’t drink as much water and missed a meal ending up gaining a pound back. Back on track now and what l had gained came back off.

Hola to all, I am here to relay this change of eating habits and plan for healthy living continues to work beautifully.  It has been 9 months since I have been on the 17 day diet, notice I did not call it a diet at first  because it is a change of lifestyle and the relationship we have with food.  I am near goal weight, the last 10 pounds were the most difficult, and I did not give up, I did give in more than a few times, yogurt with toppings can be very dangerous. And I was hitting a plateua, went to my doctor and my thyroid was not producing, so now on meds and one month later I have lost another 5 pounds and am sooo excited.  And encouraged in seeing a newbie or two…we lost a few of our regulars and hope they are on a great path of success too! Keep up this link and these posts, they truly encourage and support all of us! Be a writer! And a change agent! All in one sitting!  Have a sparkling day!

Fancystitch and Nurse67, so good to see your updates.  So where are we all with weight loss? When I see we begain posting like January 8th and possibly even before that. I know I started in December, and have lost 33 pounds and am 5 pounds from goal weight. It has been a blessing to me, and although I was bouncing back and forth over the summer I have got back into the swing and started from first week cycle and am having weight loss success again. It is so awesome and I am so thankful.  So Nurse 67 what has been your weight loss total? and what is yours fancystitch? And you only have 15 more to go? That is awesome…and it is so amazing is we now know what to eat and how to take of ourselves. And I full on am positive the lemon in the morning is a key to the success as is the tea. I enjoy the green teas, diet of course.  It is all amazing and again, so thankful. I hope you both and all others are doing well and I look forward to seeing your responses!  Goodnight…and have fun!

FabTam, I started Jan 17. I have lost 65 pounds. I started wearing size 22 jeans and 2X shirts and everything was getting tight. I now wear size 12 jeans and Medium shirts. It is soooooooo wonderful. I just started C1 today and this should be my last round of cycles and then to C4 to maintain. I will have to be extra careful going into the holidays to make sure i don’t regain any of the pounds. Glad to see you guys. It is usually really quite on here, but I bet that picks up alot after the holidays are over. Jan will be booming on here. I won’t be on here for awhile after next thurs. I am going to visit my sister in Williamsburg for 3 weeks. So just keep posting, I will catch up.

Hello to all!

I am back from summer vacation with the 17 Day Diet,eh! And I want to say that this diet is effective and has proven to me that your body does keep the weight off! I did not follow the diet all summer and the 15lbs I lost never came back.I have heard from others the same. Be encouraged…just think of our results when we really do keep with it.

Starting cycle 1 again…and this time I will do it! Any Canadians out there up for the challenge? Then check out, Canadian, Buddies,eh! message board and let’s chat and keep one another accountable,eh?

I am so excited that I am 3 pounds away from losing 40 pounds…This plan is the best plan that has ever happened to me….I have my body back, I am able to get into clothes that have not seen sunlight for over 4 years and was ready to donate if I could not get back into them by this year….so so good. In the last few days I have had several people look at me and wonder incredulously where all of my weight went….to them it seems overnight, for me it has been 10 worthwhile months, and with no regrets! It is amazing and fabulous! Everyone keep up the good work!!!

So great to read these wonderful posts about weight loss and feeling good about yourselves!!!!  I am back in the saddle again.  Haven’t gained any weight from my first round months ago..but doing it again because I want to look better.  Day 4 and I’m down 4.5 pounds.  I tell everyone I can about this diet.  The book is always with me just to refer to and stay on track.  = )  See you hotties later!!

FabTam way to go—I’m so proud of you!   I have to get back busy keep going between 153-and 160.  Trying to get used to being semi-retired and having mom living with us……Find it too easy to slip back into bad habits……

September FabTam 36 posts

I love the way Laurawhite called us hotties….that is so hecka’ fun!  It is amazing the freedom and empowerment when one feels good about themselves…and this morning, I DID IT!   I hit the minus 40 pounds mark…..oh my goodness…..I am ecstatic…..and nurse67 even your number values are awesome….this is such a powerful plan for healthy living and making right choices.  Even to the point when I head for coffee I pass on the foo-foo and just get standard and add 1/2 and 1/2 or come home and bring in a sugar free cream.  The book recommended being careful to go back to old habits, that enjoying the foo-foo coffee is adding a serious amount of unhealthy calories and fat and carbs to your day…..so when I give in, if ever, it will be only once a week.  And right now Starbucks has the pumpkin spice that always smells so delicious….I may give in and yet not ready to do so…..

I’m on day 5, and I’ve lost 4.5 pounds. :0) So proud of myself for not cheating, I find the yoghurt a great substitute/treat for when I’m craving really bad stuff. :0)  And I managed to go out two nights in a row, and NOT have alcohol (or partake in the 2am McDonalds stop last night!). Got about 100 pounds to lose… well, 95 now! yay
