Café Mocha (Cycle 1)
Ingredients
1 cup your favorite coffee
¼ cup skim milk or 2% milk (I use 2%)
½ tsp coco powder
Truvia (as many as you like. I use 3 because I like it very sweet)
Directions:
Make 1 cup of your favorite coffee whether it is freshly brewed or instant. Next, put the milk in the blender together with the coco powder and whip up until frothy. I like to use my Magic Bullet because it is easy to clean. Now place the milk in the microwave and warm up on high for 35 seconds. Next, incorporate the hot coffee and the chocolate milk in the blender and pour in your sweetner. Give it a pulse or two. Enjoy. I love this. It tastes a little like hot chocolate but without all the calories. I especially love it when it is cold outside :-).

Sounds good, but how can it be on cycle 1? No milk or chocolate allowed…

Look in the organic dairy section for the acidophilus milk.

I really don’t understand why I read so many threads where people are posting we can’t have milk, the only difference between acidophilus milk and milk is the acidophilus, (which you can buy in powder form at a health food store and add to regular milk) so if you can have one, of course you can have the other, it’s just not very benefcial to you without the probiotics and can’t count towards a probiotic serving. But you can definatley use it as condiment. He never prohibits any dairy in the diet, so why milk? I’d just stick to non-fat like the cheeses.

Milk is not allowed in cycle 1. Acidophilus is allowed. There’s a distinct difference.

IDK, Even Dr. Mike says he can’t have his coffee without creamer. He says it’s the FAT in half an half that will creep up on you. On his webchat he said to go with lowfat or nonfat creamer. He has also said that fat free pudding is fine. So I can not imagine that 1/4 cup fat-free milk would be a huge deal on occasion. HOWEVER using the acidophilus milk (or the powder in your milk) would be the better route if you can. This is just my opinion and interpretation of the plan.
BrandyLynne, You can find the acidophilus milk with the organic dairy products, Greek yogurt, etc..
pammyjean,
As far as the cocoa powder, it is FINE in any quantity any time. (I called and asked lol) Chocolate is not ok because it has sugar and fat! :-)
