Cauliflower Crust and bread -another version - cycle 1
This is my recipe which, in my opinion, is a lot better with lower fat and calories. I wasn’t happy with using regular mozarella so I switched it to fat free, parmesan, and nutritional yeast. For the crust: for more tricks for the crust and photos please see my blog. http://betterversionofme-tracie.blogspot.com/search/label/caulifllower%20pizza%20crust |

This is absolutely FABULOUS! I made it last evening, & turned it into a Tomato ‘Bread’. Any tips on storage? |
Thanks! I store mine in ziplock bags with wax paper between them. I leave the bags open a little for airflow.

Is there a purpose to the yeast in this recipe Cant stand the taste of nutritional yeast so would rather skip it if it would still work |
Hi Sunshineh100, You can most certainly make it without. Just add that much more parmesan. I replaced some of the cheese with yeast to reduce the calories. You really can’t taste it in the finished recipe…just taste like cheese and garlic. |
I made it without the yeast, and only half the parm as that is all I had… was really good!! No idea what it would taste like with it, but it certainly didnt taste like it was missing anything!

@TracieDS; The cauliflower recipes on your blog look awesome. I’ll definitely have try to them. Question though: what the heck is “riced” cauliflower? Never heard of cauliflower referred to as “riced”. |
@healthy4AZ “riced” means you put it through a food processor with a grating blade to get pieces that look like rice.
“riced cauliflower” is nothing more than using your grater or I put it in my cuisinart and keep pulsing it until it is grainy looking. I do this without steaming it. I have made this many times and found that no steaming it works best. Recently I used the nutritional yeast in it and out of the blue I almost killed my husband. Tightness of chest and could not breath. He has NO problem with anything else ever. Wierd but I like the old guy so I will leave it out from now on. |
Healthy4AZ- read her instructions in the recipe. It is what you DO to the cauliflower. |

Thanks everyone. |

Can anyone offer advice on how long this will stay good in the fridge in ziploc baggies? Can it be frozen??? I made it last night and it was AWESOME, but it makes such a gigantic batch that I would love to freeze a baggie full for the coming weeks.
Let me know!!! |

I love the 17 Day Diet and would recommend it to anyone who wanted a healthier lifestyle. I have been on the diet for about 4 months and have lost 67 pounds. So worth it.

@eclaire9 When it has cooled, cut with a pizza cutter or scissors. I store them in zip locks with wax or parchment paper in between and leave the zip lock open so they dont get soggy. They are always gone within a week as my husband loves them! I have never tried to freeze them. If you do, let me know how they turn out. It is a big batch so you could cut the recipe in half. |

Okay, I made this recipe – basically following the recipe above, and it was the bomb! Wow, I used the leftovers (it made enough for 8-10 servings for a turkey sandwich with coleslaw. Yumm. Thank you so much, TracieDS L |
