I wonder why Cilanto is not in cycle 1? It is if you are using the Hispanic “special considerations” in the book. Hmm, I thought Cilantro is an Herb. That would be under condiments in Cycle 1 (herbs). I just made salsa and I am only on day one. I guess I need to research more. But I really think it is a herb.
I had written to them about this before. They said that Cilantro IS allowed on Cycle 1 because it is an herb. I think it is listed specifically on the Cultural exceptions because it is something that the Hispanic culture uses so much. In the list for cycle 1 they allow all leafy greens and then in Cycle 3 they specifically say Kelp and Swiss Chard, but they are leafy greens. I have no clue why these types of things are specifically listed in cycle 3 except that they had not been specifically listed elsewhere… Who knows.
I feel like I’m reading a different book then everyone else sometimes. In my book it list “cilantro” specifically in cycle 3, regular cycles, not the cultural exceptions. Also, cycle 1 says kale, but swiss chard is in cycle 3. Thats just how my book reads. Who knows.
