1 C plain Kefir; 1/2 C fzn strawberries; 1/2 C red grapes; juice of 1 med-large orange; 1 to 2 pkts Truvia; blend altogether in blender. Keep in mind this will take care of BOTH your fruit allowances for the day. And for an extra boost of good nutrients add a handful of spinach (you won’t even taste it) … yum-yum! |

This sounds great – I can’t wait to try it! I’ve been making a blueberry smoothie with Blueberry kefir, 1 cup frozen blueberries and a couple of packets of Truvia – it’s really good, but I’m ready to try some other options for the Kefir too. Thanks! |

Can’t wait to try this! |

I cant find Kefir anywhere!! I have all the area grocery stores looking for it now!! Hope someone finds it around here!! |
I wonder if you can pour this into those plastic popsicle trays and have a frozen treat!! |
I am going to have this for breakfast tomorrow morning.. thank you sooooo much :D |

georgie1girl: that sounds like a good idea — come the hot weather I’m going to try that! Unfortunately we’re having sub-zero temps now & a fzn “popsicle” doesn’t have much appeal for me personally right now. But thanks for the great suggestion!! krissym18: I’m so sorry you’re not able to find Kefir anywhere; I’ve read a lot of others posts from ones who are having the same problem. I don’t get it — all it is, is a slightly liquified yogurt, you’d think the stores would carry at least a few. At my local Wal-Mart all they had was the flavored kind — too much sugar. At Kroger’s they carried the plain kind. Hope one of your stores comes thru for you! |

I found plain low fat Kefir milk at Trader Joe’s. |

There are great Kefir flavors at whole foods!! I’ve been loving this stuff as a dessert. Check out Dr. Mike’s smoothie recipe with flaxoil and berries!

Best smoothie I’ve made yet! These recipes are great help! |

Actually what Kefir is, is a fermented milk. Marked right on the container.. It’s in the same kind of container as yogurt… It sorta takes like buttermilk… but it is great in a smoothie.. Our local independent grocer store sells it in their organic section.. Check with your health food store.. |

Going to try this just as soon as I can get to the store on Thursday! Thanks! |

Tried this today… yummy!!! |
Today I made one with peaches, strawberry Kefir, almond milk and Agave sweetener…YUM! |
Just wanted to mention, my grocery store carries kefir in the yogurt aisle. |
I accidently found the Kefir at Ingles…of all places. can’t wait to try this recipe… |

Actually this doesn’t cover both fruits for the day. The two 1/2 servings of the two different fruits come to 1 serving. The JUICE of the orange is not counted, as this plan doesn’t encourage juice without the fruit (you’re not getting the fiber). |

We found Kefir at Everman’s Health Foods and Publix. Go to If you go to www.lifeway.net/probiotics you may find it in your area |
