This is a quick and easy meal. I do up my favourite Shepherd’s Pie recipe or use a Shepherd’s Pie package seasoning, follow directions using Ground Turkey/Chicken, add shredded carrots, celery, onions to mix. Once the filling is prepared boil a head of cauliflower and cook until tender, mash like poatoes (sometimes I add a little Kefir to make them a little creamer) and put on top, bake as directed. My gang doesn’t even know the difference…
can anyone recommend a good Shepherd’s Pie recipe – I can’t find any package seasoning mixes at my grocery store. I remember my mom making it when I was little, but I don’t remember how.
I just made this for dinner tonight and it was delish!!! I will definitely make it again.
Micmac – the spices and herbs I put in my version of this dish are: fresh garlic, fresh parsley, paprika, chili flakes and/or chili powder, ground cumin, ground corriander, salt, and pepper. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
