I found a great site that also has lots of support AND some really cool recipes— INCLUDING PIZZA that meets the diet… Recipes
Just though I’d pass it along— I’ve found them really useful! |

Here is the site that the member from FaceBook got the recipe and altered it a bit to fit the 17dd. It was basically the same except the recipe from Facebook uses 2 eggs and twice the cheese but fat free and FRYs the cauliflower in a TBS of olive oil instead of microwaving it. So if you use 1 cup of fat free mozz and 1-2 eggs it should comply. Also make sure to top it with your home made marinara sauce and proper allowed toppings like browned seasoned ground turkey or just veggies and limit the top cheese. |

I will ask the “chef” of the Pizza if she would move a copy – without the photos of course – to the blog under Recipes. That might help although I thought you could read Facebook without logging on…just not comment? Could be wrong I don’t know that much about it. The Pizza looks spectacular…! |

Here’s the link for anyone who wants it |

The person who posted it on Facebook, Becky Humphrey, said it would. She made some changes to the recipe that was on the examiner.com site. I don’t know if it would or not I just got into this diet last week when I first heard about it. |

We decided it was waayyy too much cheese – so it would be better for cheeseless or to 1/2 the cheese. The cheese is supposed to be used in “condiment” amounts in the first cycle so ..??? |
What I would do is try to make it no more than 1/4 cup of cheese per person! If so you could just sneak by with it for Cycle 1 but I wouldn’t have it too often. Many are saying their entire family loved it. Another said she made the crust in micro – but that seems weird huh? FF cheese is allowed as a “condiment” in cycle 1 so you might be able to squeeze by…or use Parmesan but as a condiment I’m thinking a few sprinkles is what he means…although he uses it in the eggplant recipe for Cycle 1 but sparingly so I guess it would be okay… |

Well, I finally made the pizza last night for dinner! WOW..we loved it!!! It will be a regular for us now!! The ‘crust’ came out great…using a head of raw cauliflower, instead of frozen. I think the problems with a ‘soggy’ crust is because of the extra liquid you have with the frozen version. SO…other than the extra work of ‘grating’ the florets, it was a simple recipe to fix! |

I told you RIGHT???? Isn’t it amazing. |

I baked my crust for 20 minutes and it still wasn’t fully cooked. I didn’t realized this until i had already topped it off and broiled it, so I didn’t put it back in. Did anyone else have this problem? The crust is falling apart. |

Skinnyminniexx – I did bake my crust for about 25 minutes…and I used a pizza stone. I actually spread the cauliflower mixture out first on a piece of parchment paper…in a large circle about 1/8 inch thick. Then I moved the parchment paper (with crust) onto the preheated pizza stone. I baked it until the top was completely golden brown. (Oh…I sprinkled the Italian Seasoning on top before baking also). It stayed completely together and after adding all the toppings I then broiled it about another 5 minutes. We were not able to really hold the slices to eat, but using a fork was fine with us!! The ‘crust’ stayed intact! |

I have been racking my brains to figure out something different for my hubby for Super Bowl! This and the Buffalo wings will do the trick! |
genius! super excited to try this, but know we’ll love it so much that i’m going to hold out until cycle 3. i think it will be a treat well worth the wait! |
yes, my crust fell apart tonight, I just made the best of it anyway~ |

readyseygo1958 – how did you make your crust? Did you use frozen cauliflower or raw? My crust came out really good so I’ll be glad to help you out if you want to try making it again! |

I made it for my hubby for super bowl and we thought it was pretty good stuff! We found Turkey meat, lots of veggies and homemade sauce. Hubby did not want to know what the crust was. He thought the less I know the better! I cooked my crust on lightly oiled alum foil and had to peel the foil off of my crust and it took some of the top layer off. I flipped it on the cookie sheet and cooked a little longer. It was crisp and brown. Yum! |

I just made this for my husband and me tonight and it was really good. I baked the crust on a pizza stone prior to adding toppings and the crust ended up fairly crispy — although next time I might bake it just a little longer. It was delicious and my husband had no idea he was eating a cauliflower crust. I used fresh cauliflower that I roasted in the oven and then chopped in a food processor. It was so easy and tasted great! |

OMG, made the pizza tonight and it was out of this world, used the maranara sauce posted on the recipe site too, topped it with some left over ground turkey, that I had made from the taco salad posted in the Dr.’s book and some red peppers, very very good |
