2 small packs of tuna in water, add some diced celery, onions and 1 egg. mix it together with seasonings, I use onion and garlic powder, pepper, parsley, cilantro leaves. make into 4 patties and cook in a small amount of olive oil just till the celery and onions get tender. 2 patties to a serving. My mom used to make them all the time but she added bread cubes as well. If you are craving a sandwich put it between some lettuce leaves, yummy!

Had this for lunch today. It was great. I mixed it all in the food processor so everything was finely ground and it gave the tuna a little more moisture – which the tuna I had needed (tighly packed albacore). We had it on a romaine leaf topped with a tomato slice then the tuna pattie. We used a very small amount of fat free salad dressing on top. It was not only tasty but nice looking as well.

Would someone please tell me how much tuna is in a “pouch”? I only have canned tuna.
Thanks!

a small pouch would be equal to a regular can of tuna so you would use 2 cans to make 4 patties, or one can would make 2 patties. Canned tuna tends to have more water in it so squeeze as much out as you can.
