I got this from the Examiner and it’s pretty good. It satisfies the pizza craving! I apologize if it’s already been posted. 1 cup cooked, riced cauliflower **pizza sauce toppings of choice Preheat oven to 450 degrees Farenheit. Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray. In a medium bowl, combine cauliflower, egg and mozzarella. Press Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes (15-20 minutes if you double the recipe). Remove the pan from the oven. To the crust, add sauce, then toppings and cheese. I really liked mushrooms, onions and tomatoes on mine. If you have a Walmart close by, their Great Value pizza sauce has only 3 carbs for 1/4 cup, which is all I used on this. That’s less than a carb per slice.

This is EXCELLENT! I made this for a friend (who is on a low carb diet that will remain nameless) and myself a few days ago! I was so excited to have “pizza” that I forgot to add the pizza sauce! One thing you want to make sure that the cauliflower is fairly free of moisture before you bake, I had a pretty mushy crust. If you don’t have a ricer, just mash the cauliflower like you would mashed potatoes! |

OK this is overthetop GREAT!!! My husband hates Califlower so I really was nervous that he sould spot this out instantly. Used 1 fresh head, chopped in food processer.Microed 8 mins. Cooled, added 1 egg to 1 cup cheese and 1 cup califlower. Pushed onto parchment paper and then seasoned with garlic powder,Basil,Oregano and Parsley. Baked for 14 minutes on 450. PERFECT! Added Pizza sauce 3g carbs 2 sugars.Chicken sausage, bells, red onion, mushrooms jalepeno peppers and reduced fat mozzarella cheese.Under broiler for 3 minutes and that was heaven. My husband just kept saying “are you sure this is legal?”Then I told him about the Califlower! I wish you could have seen the look on his face.“How does that work he said” while barely pausing to speak. We both lost 1 pound this am. THANKS so much. I needed that! |

I can’t believe how good and satisfying this pizza, Imagine pizza on a diet. That is the amazing thing about this program, if ya get out in the kitchen and start chopping, dicing and cooking, it is amazing what you can come up with and amazing that it tastes so darned good. Satsified my crazing for pizza. |
a dumb question, but how much of the pizza can each person have? Or is it one pie for each person.. |
We had one full pizza and we were FULL. One pizza is 450 calories. We still lost weight and was loaded with all the veggies. Your gonna love it. |
You are NOT allowed 1/2 cup of cheese per person. In fact cheese is only to be used as a condiment – a little tiny bit here and there! The calories are not relevant. |

I am on cycle 2 and made this for my husband and I tonight. It was so-o-o-o good!! I only had 1/4 of the pizza (because of the cheese) and had a spinach salad with it. My husband loved it too – even asked if I would make it again Friday night!! I put ground turkey seasoned with italian seasoning, sage, garlic and pepper on it with black olives, green onion and fresh mushrooms. There are so many possibilities with this crust. After my wife and I completed cycle 2 and still have not reached our goal weight, we have rotated between cycle 1 and cycle 2 and still are loosing weight (20 pounds each). I would not be so anal about absolute forbiddens – just use low fat chese, low carb sauce and control the portion. Remember the ultimate goal is to change your eating lifestyle, not to become a deprived food monk. We combine the 17 day diet with our Yoga practice at a professional Yoga studio and have never been so healthy, energetic and mellow in all our lives (we are both 64) Can’t wait to try the Califlower Pizza. Namaste. |

I plan to make the pizza this weekend. Can someone tell me how big the “crust” actually is? Do you consider the pizza a single serving? Thanks so much! |
When I make it, I spread it around a pizza pan, spray really good with Pam, and I have this pizza pan with holes in it so I also spray some foil and put that underneath the pan on the bottom side as the egg, and mutz cheese mixture is loose. I usually make it around 10" around. When the crust is almost done, I take it out, and remove the foil from the underside of the pan, loosen the crust from the pan and continue to bake for about 5 more minutes. Remember you cannot have the whole thing mainly because of the mutz cheese, I use fat free |
I think I spread it out to 8" – 10". The recipe says it is 434 calories just for the crust so I ate 1/4 of the pizza after I put meat and stuff on it. I bought a pizza pan with the holes in it but have not tried it yet. Hoping that will make the crust crisper in the middle. |

hmm…wondering why I couldn’t use my home-made marinara sauce for the pizza sauce? and has anyone tried the veggie-sausage crumbles by Morning Star? That and some onion would be delish on this…thx. |
Can you get away with no cheese in the crust? |
wonderwoman623: Just check the label for the Morning Star. Sodium, carbs, protein??? Blankabillygirl: I don’t think it would work with no cheese, that’s part of what holds it together. I did cut the cheese qty in half the second time I made it. It’s not quite as tasty but my husband and I still liked it. |
The skys the limit!!! I think you can do without the cheese in the crust but I would not forgo the egg, Good Luck. |
ok i have to try this as well…won’t tell my boyfriend but i will surprise him for our date night…not sure if it will turn out like everyone elses but i will give it a try…does it look like pizza??? i have my pizza pan which is itching to be used…and i promised him i would make a real pizza for him…didn’t say it wouldn’t be like this…lol… wish me luck… |

Oh my goodness! I just made this for dinner and it was fantastic. cruiselover, thanks for the step by step instructions. I hope the cheese doesn’t mess me up, but I did use low fat. I couldn’t find fat free mozzarella. I put yellow peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, grilled chicken and the cheese on top. MikiBee, thanks for posting this recipe. |
I have made this 3 or 4 times, and I did find fat free mutz cheese, Kraft makes it |
I don’t really know why I even tried this because…..I hate cauliflower! But I listened to the other posts……and I really miss pizza……… I used the homemade turkey sausage, marinara, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, fatfree mozzerella and it was A M A Z I N G !!!!!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you MikiBee! |

Joy and I just made the Pizza and loved it! We are going to try a few things different next time. 1) get a better ricer 2) mix the spices in the crust versus on top. 3) make 2 smaller pizzas versus one bigger one to get a crustier crust. We are eager to try again with our homemade sauce. We used fresh tomatoes the first time and it was still good, just a little moist. Thank you MikiBee, this is a winner for a lifetime!!! |
I read all the posts also and cant wait to try this. I also despise cauliflower but love pizza..I will try anything. Before this diet I loved Veggie Pizzas although w/ white sauce. I wonder if theres a variationt that can be used. This will be dinner tomorrow evening. Thanks for all the great ideas !

I love making this pizza crust. I have even tried using this crust for garlic bread, enchiladas, taco shells and wraps. THe possiblities are endless. |
Is it correct that there is no yeast in this recipe? The other one calls for 1 1/2 cups of nutritional yeast so I just wanted to confirm there is no yeast here? |
I just steam 1 head of cauliflower until very done, then mash. |
