The new mascara is something a specialist has to do, it only lasts two weeks and costs between 50-70 dollars. I was so excited for this segment as my eyelashes and eye brows are bright blonde where you can’t even see them if I don’t have makeup on. It was SO disappointing to see that this was something people can’t do themselves and or something affordable. |

I agree, Kim. I won’t go to a salon every 2 weeks for eyelashes!

This mascara application is great for special occasions and if you are going on vacation. I am certified in CBM application and the majority of my clients only get it done for that reason. I do have some clients that get it done every few weeks, but they can afford this “extra”. @Kim, maybe you should get your brows and lashes tinted? It won’t change the length but at least you would be able to see them. Beauty comes with a price. It’s up to you to decide what is worth your money.

“You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig!” Right, hedpig?? lol Real “BEAUTY” comes from within, not from superficial applications!

lol be careful Pameele..LOL. i think pigs are beautiful…but then again. moms always think their kids are the best looking…check my pics on facebook… hedy hollis nobil but really this mascare thing is prety neat.. i would try it out if i had to go to something special. i used to spend bucks on fake fingernails until i learned how to do them myself…when i quit working with public daily..i no longer needed the pretty nails and have not used them in years.. but that mascara thing… Terriboll gave Kim good advice about tinting her lashes.. at 58 i am done with all that vanity stuff.. but if i was in my 20’s or 30’s i bet i would try some of this stuff.. never ever would i do the botox stuff tho… my saggy boobs.. LOL if i had the money to WASTE on myself i might think about lifting them…hehehe they were always so nice and plump..LOL. i just hope the show gets back to MEDICAL stuff…instead of all this stuff |

I watched the segment and still don’t understand what’s so special for someone else to apply mascara to your lashes (and separating them), to warrant that kind of cost. We women do that all the time. Where does the high cost come in? Eventually they’ll retail the product in beauty supply stores, like the dye for brows and lashes, and it’ll be a lot less expensive.

MsGera in modeling classes they always taught us to use baby pwder on our lashes BEFORE we applied the eyelash stuff. it kept oue lashes apart and made the lash stuff look thicker.. i still do it…30+ years later..lol

My neighbor uses Latisse and her lashes are awesome. Next visit to my doctor, I’m going to discuss getting a script with him. I am 71 and still care about my looks, but won’t be spending money every two weeks to get my lashes done. Perhaps if I attend another class reunion….. If you can see my photo, you can see that I have white hair, and I do color my eyebrows and sometimes carefully do my eyelashes at the same time. My hairdresser told me to put the peroxide part of the dye kit (I use Just For Men) on about five minutes early to help make the white eyebrows take color more easily. This works! |

I can’t believe someone would do this except for a special occasion. Very expensive. Poor girl wasn’t taught how to remove her makeup from her mom. If you have problems with your mascara running or smeering then spend $10 on Mary Kay waterproof mascara and $15 for Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. It is the BEST. You will get 3 to 6 month out of that $25 spent. |
