My daugther and I were watching the show today and noticed that twice today when dealing with two different girls, you left them hanging, not really giving them a solution to their problem. First the girl with the twitch. She was basically told “there is nothing wrong with you.” My daughter and I both looked at each other with mouths dropped open, – what about the tick? She still has the same problem she came in with!
Then when the girl with the swearing problem ask about what to do about people teasing her about her glasses, you didn’t tell her what to do, you just told her glasses were cool. What kind of advice is that? My daughter is 16, and at home sick in bed, she noticed both of these “opps” momments. I hope you really do follow up with both of these girls.

I agree with seamom206. To get to the end of all of that testing at UCLA, and to hear Dr. Martin not give this girl and her father one clue was just flabbergasting to watch and left that poor girl and her father hanging. From reading the FORUM and all of the input and experiences by other people with tics etc, how could Dr. Martin not have come up with many alternative things to explore because obviously they are out there in the medical community happening to people and being treated. If you take on a patient, give them your all from perhaps a team of doctors, not short shrift. Also, I saw on one report that the school would not allow testing done by Erin Brokovich’s assistant to be completed. Why? It makes them look like they have something to cover up. With that testing 100% completed and analyzed, there still may be something there. If not, then they know to keep looking in other areas. With it being so many girls, that seems compelling evidence to look at the spill as a factor, however, one would think more kids would show symptoms then. Either way, how sad to see these kids dealing with these things in years of their lives that should be so much fun.
