My husband has major depression disorder, generalized panic attacks, generalized anxiety, some paranoia. He can no longer work and we have applied for disability. His psychiatrist had overprescribed too many meds and I took matters into my own hands, and have him on just one antidpressant. No meds really are working for him. He sleeps or just stays in bed from midnight until 3-4 in the PM. We are consulting w/ a new psychiatrist next week about ECT. I have read alot on the pros and cons. Anyone ever have this done and what did you think about it?
