I have tried protein drinks in the morning and other “diet” drinks that are suppose to fill you up so you dont crave food and nothing works for me. I need help. Do they have a protein drink that would be less calories knowing that i will be hungry anyway in an hour?

cmf0012 uses this as a protein shake every day (good for C1 17 DD if you are doing the diet) …. One cup of fruit, 2 packets of Truvia, one scoop of protein powder, 6 oz. of yogurt and a splash of Kefir. If you aren’t on the 17DD, you could substitute skim milk for the Kefir. Not sure what kind of protein powder, but you could probably use what you have. Melissa.

Dr. Stork’s comments on the liquid diet lacking fiber aren’t quite correct. Joe Cross, an Australian businessman, has developed a program called the ReBoot Program, utilizing vegetables and fruits, FULL OF FIBER, vitamins and other nutrients to aid in losing weight. This program is quite successful. I had to laugh when Dr. Stork talked about liquid diets lacking fiber….just where does he think the fiber goes after juicing fruits and vegetables? The fiber doesn’t just evaporate….it is mulched down into the liquid….yet STILL THERE. |
If you use a vitamix or blendtech or another high powered blender that can really blend the veggies and fruits to a drink without chunks then you get the fiber, but a juicer that separates the pulp from the juice takes most of the fiber out of the drink.

I’ve heard that to make sure the fiber stays in the blended juice, it needs to be blended well and not have chunks in it. Anyone else hear this? Melissa. |

Just wanted to share my two favorite smoothies. And yes they are sooo full of fiber, especially the veggie one! BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE: 1 cup of almond milk (a little more if you like it more liquidy) 1/2 cup to 1 cup of frozen blueberries (Target sells a huge bag for a good price) 1/2 or whole banana 1 scoop of whey protein powder (choose your favorite flavor) Depending on how much fruit you use, you could be getting 5-8g of fiber! AFTERNOON SMOOTHIE (inspired from Paula Abdul, she drinks this): 1 cup coconut water (a bit more if you want to use a whole avocado and whole banana) Handful or two of raw kale 1/4 to one whole avocado 1/2 medium banana 1/2 apple with skin 1 teaspoon of stevia Again, depending on how much fruit and veggies you use, this smoothie can be anywhere from 10-20g of fiber! So, liquid diets lack fiber??? I think not! |
