I am a 49 year old wife, mother and grandmother with MS (multiple sclerosis). I love my husband who has become my caretaker. I love my three daughters who are as different as night and day. And last but not least I love my 9 beautiful grandchildren.

I was diagnosed with MS in November of 2005 after suffering with it's symptoms sense February of 1995. I quit a very good job at hp and my husband and I began to lose everything; medical insurance, our home and everything else. I started using street drugs to self medicate and long story short 10 years past and I could no longer walk before one neurologist happen to see me in the emergancy room on one of my dozens of visits and said "something is wrong with you" NO DUH! Anyway, he admitted me and kept me there testing me for 3 days until he finally came to me and said "well we can't find anything else wrong with you so it must be MS". In July of 2006 I was finally blessed enough to get an intelligent neurologist who saw an MRI I had done back in 1995 and said I had MS with out a dought back then. After using copaxone and beta-seron I am now very happy to be on a new drug called Tysabri. I have been on Tysabri for 7 months and I haven't had any exacerbations.

Other than that I have a very boring and lonely life. my excitement is going to physical therapy twice a week.
