Baby Gender

I know this is a very silly thing to dwell on, but I am so confused about my baby's gender. The 12 week ultrasound showed that it's 90% a boy (doctor's words). I was convinced its a boy because of a very strong feeling I had, other than the ultra sound (not wishful thinking... I love both genders equally). My 16 week ultrasound wasn't very clear because baby had her legs crossed most of the time but my Dr. managed to tell me it's most likely a girl. On my 19th week ultrasound, the Dr. said its 100% a girl (even though the baby had her legs crossed and her hands on her private parts, we managed to get a good look for a few brief moments). The thing is, we saw her genitals, but I also mistook them for fingers when she had her hand down there. Is there any chance the doctor is wrong? I'd LOVE a baby girl but my mommy instincts tell me I'm having otherwise. Any stories?

Hanah boy that is a tough one.The Drs are usally right it sounds like you are going to have a boy or a girl with a good sense of humor.LOL But what ever gender I pray you have a easy delivery and a very healthy baby.

hehehe... I can imagine the doctor going: it's a boy.. no it's a girl... no it's BOTH! it's weird because at 12 weeks I saw a "weewee" and this time I saw a vagina quite clearly... what happened? Anyway thanks Sheila :)

My son was a girl till delivery!! He does have a great sense of humor even at 19. Just have a boy and girl name ready and be surprised. As long as the baby is healthy.

its not the name that worries me... its the clothes! This is the last sale before I deliver and I'm making use of the 70% and stacking up on outfits. The only problem is that all the shops have either pink or blue ones they don't have neutral colors. I hope this doesn't sound shallow, but with all the things I have to buy for the baby like a crib and a stroller and a car seat... I'm trying to be as economical and as practical as possible. How come your son didn't show during ultra-sounds? was he in a weird position? Is it possible to see my baby's vagina clearly then she turns out to be a boy?

Hi

I had the same issue with my first pregnancy. I was pregnant for 8 months when I finally found out it was a baby boy. Prior to the 8th month whenever I went for the ultrasounds he would turn his tush so they never could tell if it is a boy or a girl. Just be grateful that god has blessed you to have a baby no matter what it is you will for sure love it the same. GOOD LUCK
