My whole life Ive had problems with my menstral cycle. I didnt get my period until i was 15 years old. Its always been speratic. Sometimes ill get it 4 months in a row..and everythings normal..then ill go MONTHS without anything. I have cramping every month even if I didnt get my period that month. I also get blood clots. Pretty big ones.
When i use tampons its almost always only saturated on the left side. Nothing on the right side. Also, I get pains on the right side of my inner wall when I pull the tampon out.
My mother had some issues when she was about 31. She had non cancerous cysts on one of her ovaries and along her uterus. After my brother was born she decided to have both removed.
My doctor knows all of this information and has been testing me since i was about 16 years old. Blood tests,xrays..ultra sounds. He tells me everything looks normal. He TRIES to tell me that my weight has something to do with it. But , there are heavier people than me and they dont have ANY issues with their period. So for me thats not a factor. Also , my chest size is a problem. Its like theyre under developed. They arent "full" or circular. More pointy then id like them too be. Plus one is noticebly bigger than the other. One is barely an A, the other is a full B. Im frustrated with no answers. So HOPEFULLY someone here can help me out.
Thanks
Jen :)

I had the same problem when i was younger with my period it would last for aobut 3 to 4 months then it would quit for aobut a month or 2 then it would start right back up, my obgyn has put me on birthcontrol and come to find out i had PCOS ! u should ask your obgyn if u have PCOS or something people that have pcos also have Cysts on there ovaries. i would ask just to be sure to see if u have pcos or not
I'd like to know the answer to why only saturated on the left side of a tampon and the pain on the right because I have this same problem.

Hi Jen, I would suggest you talk to your mom about getting a new dr. This guy sounds like a quack. My sister has had problems forever. She had heavy bleeding and it would last for months. The dr. said her uterine wall was constantly breaking down on one side and rebuilding on the other. So she kept on bleeding with no break. She wound up with surgery and she went to many drs. before she found the one she was comfortable with so keep looking and find someone who knows what they are doing. Good luck! Bobbie
Thanks for ALL your help guys. I have to wait a few weeks before i see a dr. but ill bring up these topics to see if it will help and melissa i will def contact you when i find out the reason. :)
inkedchef--THANK YOU!! I have always wondered about this.

If your doctors haven't found anything else, this is probably a vitamin D deficiency. Get a 25(OH)D test. You'll probably find your level is about 10-15 ng/ml. You should be up in the 40-60 ng/ml range. See more info on my profile. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them.

Me and my daughters all have terrible periods.A friend of mine had suggested for us to take primrose oil (comes in a pill form and you can buy it at walmart) we take it once a day and is natural. It has helped all of us with cramps, bloating and mood swings. Hope this helps :)
