Getting started

I just got my book and started reading it. I'm excited to begin on friday when we go grocery shopping. I have quite a bit of weight to lose, I would say 60lbs to truly get to my goal. I have struggled with my weight for years since before having our two kids, and I'm tired of being unhealthy and feeling uncomfortable in my own skin. So friday begins my new journey to reclaim my body, reclaim my health, and feel good about my appearance. Here's to it!!!!

Good luck on your new adventure!  You won't be disappointed with the choice to live healthier because that is exactly what you are beginning to do.  Very time consuming, but well worth it.

Thanks, I appreciate it. What kind of succes have you had?

I don't think it's going to be time consuming at all for me. I just finished meal planning, and it's to me super easy. I think I just need to be super organized, if I have the meals planned out it makes my life easier. If I don't go into this prepared with my meals planned out, that will leave the door open to step out of what I am allowed to have. For me that is not so good, because I'm one who if given an inch in food choice, goes the mile. So I am staying super focused and not deviating at all.

Absolutely!  Planning the meals has been the ticket for me.  We (me and my man friend) are on Cycle 2.  He has lost almost 20 lbs and I am at 13.  Men always lose so much faster so it doesn't discourage me at all.  I lost most of it in the first cycle, about 8 to 10 lbs and then I got sick.  All I could stomach was chicken noodle soup but it didn't cause me any weight gain and I am slowly dropping every day now.  Little by little.  I look forward to hearing about your successes.

That's great. I have been on Cycle 1 for 5 days now, and while I've only lost 2lbs, I know I've lost some inches or at least an inch, I can feel the difference in my back. Yes, men lose it way faster than we do...disgusting but at least we are working to get it off and do it by changing our food portions, choices, I'm excited.
