I found out I was hypothyroid 11 years ago and went on to gain 70 lbs. A few years after that we started our family. 4 pregnancies in 5 years - the last one was twins! So with each pregnancy came weight gain and I'm presently 265. Now that babymaking is over I feel I need to take care of myself and get to a healthy weight. To be honest I feel handicapped being this heavy and I want to be able to play with my kids and do activities that I enjoyed in my twenties. I'm turning 40 May 1st, and have been overweight my entire thirties so I don't want to spend another decade like this!
